A special Secret Santa gift for a family forced to move in with a neighbor following a house fire

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
A few weeks ago, JenniLynn and Doyle Lacey suffered a devastating house fire. Doyle was injured and the entire family, including their three daughters, was forced to move out into a neighbor's home.
It will be a year before the Laceys can move back into their house and household items, along with clothes and toys, were all damaged.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News team to visit the Laceys with an early Christmas gift during this time of need. Watch the surprise in the video player above.

This is wonderful, and their neighbour is so kind to let the family move in. It could have ended very differently.

What a hero their daughter is! Great neighbours too, that’s a beautiful home as well.
She had the presence of mind to know what to do. How many others her age would have handled the situation as she did? I don't think many.
What A Blessing That The Middle Child Grab Her Baby Sister got her Out Before going to her dad to tell him she smelled Smoke...
It only takes minutes for a fire to take down a dewelling and her saving her Baby Sister Was the biggest Blessing of this horrible Evening.. What a Smart Child ...

A fire is such a devastating event. All your belongings gone in seconds. Its like starting over from scratch. But you are all alive not everyone has a chance to start with that. What great neighbors aswell.
We lost our home and all our belongings to a fire. It’s an absolutely horrendous experience. I know how much this means to them. ❤

What beautiful young girls! Stinks to lose so much in a house fire, but at least that is all they lost; could have been a life. Hope they are able to return to their home a lot sooner than in a year! Gotta give hats off to the person who is letting five additional people stay with them as well!!!!

My heart goes out to this family...my family and I went through the same thing back in March of this year...we lost 51 yrs of our belongings to total burn to the ground fire..we are now living in Texas...God Bless you all 😊💜

This story has a happy ending. I believe this family must be good people or the neighbors wouldn’t have opened their door, and Secret Santa wouldn’t have heard their story. What a precious precious family. You can tell how close they are and how much love they have for one another. What a fabulous neighbor and friend to offer their home. Congratulations to the little hero. 🥰 My parents went through a house fire. It is SO not easy. Even things that didn't appear damaged stink and no matter how many times they are washed, still stink. It is a long, slow process to rebuild. Good luck to them and I'm so glad they will be able to go buy some clothing and other items.
