- Today We're going to take a look at VESA Monitor Mounts while We still have access to the ASUS ProArt Monitor and We're also have a ViewSonic Monitor. And what We want to look at are the similarities and differences in how these Monitors mount. For example the ViewSonic that We use is a 22 inch with a flush mount. We have a Quick Release VESA Mount on here. And for the ASUS ProArt, it's a recessed mount. And because it's not flush, We have some different considerations We have to think about. So what We're going to be comparing are two different mounts. Deciding which mount is most appropriate for which Monitor. Welcome! Excellent! Appreciate Your Comments! Monitor VESA Mounts are a Topic more Monitor Manufacturers should mention or Discuss but that's what We do for BTS.
Right now We're focused on BuildOrBuy for Content Creation. We have a Video there on an ASUS ProArt Monitor for Entry Level Color Grading and mention the aspects of VESA Mount. This is always of Primary concern on any Monitor, not just Nits and Color Gamut or Connectivity options!

Nice stuff for a lite monitor. I have a monitor arm on my coffee table. I turn it to my sofa to work and 90 degrees right towards my big recliner for a movie.

Welcome. Sure. A VESA Mount enables the ability to remove or quick mount a monitor. A quick release mount could be in the middle of a Monitor stand such as a wall mount. However, these are not wall mounts. To reiterate, these are Monitor mounts for stands.
What about mounting a monitor on the wall ?

Welcome! Love a Great Sax! Nothing else like that sound! To Your Question, Yes, doable. However with a VESA Mount, there's infinitely more versatility in Mounting a Monitor to a Light Stand. All depends upon use and location settings. That's the beauty of VESA Mounting, get the Monitor to where You need it most whether on a Wall or on location with a Video Cart for Client Viewing!

Welcome! Great Question! Sorry for taking so long to respond! A bit overwhelmed with Questions and staying on top of creating Videos to Answer Subscribers Questions! To Your Question, I'll have to give that some thought. That was one thing that was a Bummer considering the heft and maneuverability of that Base Stand. To reiterate, ASUS makes a VESA Plate but the Stand still has to be removed. It just clips on. Would be nice to be able to use both Base Stand and VESA Mount but... Now if the Base Stand had been VESA compliant, that would be different but it is not. ASUS should give that detail more attention in the future. Otherwise, great entry level Color Grading Monitor for the Specs and Price! We're always very much aware of a Monitor with a VESA Mount. That detail matters very much to be able to hang a Monitor literally anywhere required! Hope that helps!

Unable to Source a PDF on that Monitor. No matter. Two Options. First, get a Vesa Conversion Plate to flush mount any VESA Mount and Or VESA Quick Release You choose. Second Option would be a VESA Quick Release Adapter to go between Monitor and VESA Mount. Links below.
