- CHASING THE WIND:
I grew up fishing lakes and ponds in the Midwest for just about anything that bit. Rivers and creeks weren’t something I saw for fishing, instead I saw them as the most ideal hunting areas for the local whitetail and turkey populations.
Today, I spend a lot of my time fishing rivers due to their close access and abundant trout populations. But that being said, lakes have and always will hold a special place in my heart. These are the areas where I learned to fish and possessed me with the passion I have today!
In my first ever video series, CHASING THE WIND, I am dedicating each video to fishing lakes for trout around the state. Some of these lakes might or will be obvious, others are little known places aside from locals. Most of the places are extremely windy, so be prepared for the poor audio to come.
This is going to be a good series and I hope everyone enjoys! #troutfishing #colorado #flyfishing
Been there once and got skunked, although I did have a big one on with a spoon. Anyway, congrats!
Thank you! It’s not an easy fishery, but the rewards are definitely worth it. Hope the next time out gets you a good one!
What flies and how deep?
@@blue1dog2 I changed up my depth a lot, anywhere from 4-10ft deep. Flies are easy, chironomids and leeches! Thanks for watching 🤘
@@blue1dog2 We were spin casting with silver spoons.
