i remember one i time i got an award for being smart (like honor or sum) and everyone was like yooo he’s actually smart and i think that changed how i saw myself. i was funny a class clown but i was really smart and got good grades but something in that moment changed who i am and how i conduct myself to this day

Ive had similar experiences always had honors and ap classes yet this one yard duty used to pick on me (an older woman at that). Came into my classes one day nd said infront of everyone “woah he’s actually working? Ive never seen him do work” and laughed about it. It triggered the hell out of me nd my gf at the time didnt understand fully how long those comments have been going on, so we kinda got into it nd made up. she reminded me why do i feel so passionate about what someone thinks if they arent me?Shits crazy how people can just assume you arent capable of something
Sometimes you don’t realize when stuff really affects you or change your life until you get older & really think to yourself like “dang why am I like this” that shadow work be something else man then you just remember so much stuff from your childhood. Childhood is everything and I’m currently seventeen at war with my parents because I’m being who I was called & set to be. It’s so hard to heal when your own parents tear you down just because you aren’t who they want you to be. & when I realized that I realized so much about everything and it broke my heart that parents are the root to why our generation is the way it is today but they don’t even realize it , everybody just lost & you can’t even blame them because they don’t know.
