Shortly after this all littered the depths there would have been a multitude of sea life feasting on the human remains. When I visualize that I cannot help but think of all their loved ones never having a body to bury knowing they are never to be recovered intact. My father would never speak of the carnage of war. I hope to dive here one day and pay my respects not only to those who lost their lives here but to those that loved them.
Japanese removed remains from all accessible wrecks and held solemn funeral. Some remains are still there, mostly below 200 feet. All dives are treated with deepest respect. Nothing may be taken from wrecks, especially since so much is live explosives.
@bobjohnson2089 there were wrecks we couldn't dive due to leaking oil and the possibility of explosion. Some sunk on even keel, some settled on their sides, and still others totally flipped over. What a very solemn and sacred place to visit. Thoughts and prayers for all those who died and their families. May we never forget. 🙏
Very sorry to those who came here for our boi Pingu.I also love Pingu, however this channel does not have any Pingu content. It is only very normal scuba diving content and no me me's.
So what about all those archaeological digs then? all those cave men bones, Egyptian mummies and buried vikings/knights/templars etc we dig up and put in museum? If we held up to this ideal we wouldnt be able to do anything anywhere since people have died literally everywhere throughout time ROFL
When I was there, there was a boat holding a Shinto remembrance ceremony on a wreck we were diving on. Later, i spoke to a young man who was there with his grandfather for him to remember his brother who died on the wreck.
As much as I love watching diving videos, for me the inside of the wrecks should be left alone as they are known war graves. To many times our war dead are disrespected, leave our ship mates to rest in peace.
@@shadowjack8 to me personally it’s more like you’re actively digging up graves to look at the remains i am perfectly fine with looking at all of the ships from the outside but these ships are not open casket funerals they are memorials as to why we should never repeat the deeds of our ancestral
@suilxrd Nature heals its wounds slowly, also if interested look up ww1 battelfield "Epers" in France where there is so much unexploded ordnance in the ground that they claim it will take 200+ years to dig it all up
@suilxrd Your Welcome, it is one of the so heavily damaged places it cannot be excavated, there are also buried soldiers very likely there so unlikely to be disturbed in any case
seemed somewhat disrespectful to war dead. The ship is a war grave and yet the diver takes a cup and then draws a face on the wreck. maybe it is just I'm an old bloke, but to me, it seemed wrong to do these things.
I see your point and agree with you, however from what I saw the dive guides were generally very respectful. Everything that he picked up he would carefully put back right where he found it. Better to not pick it up in the first place though you're right.

Wow... !!! My best friend, It's always great. Your video is excellent quality. We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks
There is no pingu, it makes me sad.
Came for Pingu, WORTH IT!
This is a war grave! It may well be a Japanese war grave but it still deserves RESPECT!
Are you saying it wasn't?

But we walk through cemeteries and war memorials. Why not dive here?
I feel like they would like the company if there still there then there not truly resting just waiting
@@shadowjack8 The difference is obvious. Ask any sailor!!!!!

@@supermegaas Yes. Dive guides were very respectful. Take only pictures, leave only bubbles.
What depths are these dives at? Awesome video
Thanks!, the deepest was around 55 metres, but most wrecks were around 15 - 25 metres.

Pingu ordered the attacks on this island back in ww2

Amazing footage. and to think one of the shipwrecks, the FujiKawa Maru, has the only example of a A5M Claude in the world
Why do they have to ad music to these videos redicoulous
Came for the pingu... Stayed for the music.
name of music, please ?
New Sky by Rufus Du Sol. As the copyright says in the description ha
So much at stake, so much to win or lose, and so much waste at the same time.
The futility of war.
....in a way this is mesmerizing....it's like a hallucinating trip in the Land of Lost Dreams...
this should be the music video for this song
I remember as a kid seeing the Cousteau documentary about Truk...and seeing the dead Sailors skeletons as a kid...
came for the pingu.. Subbed.
thank you seadogsmithy
Much better than Pingu.
I don’t remember this episode of Pingu...
Those who souvenir these wrecks may go Home with more than what they expected, An unfriendly Ghost
So what is "pingu"? How deep was this?
Some wrecks were shallow at around 12m and some as deep as 50m, most around 20-30m
Why add that pish music
Look how they massacred my boy pingu... he’s transformed into the ocean now 😔
3 skulls. Fun and entertainment in a crypt amongst the dead...
Phenomenal!!!
The use of music in this video is honestly somewhat disrespectful
Annoying music but good footage.
Amazing how all that ordinance wasn't somehow recovered and disposed of.😒
02:48 MISTER RAY!
The background music here is grossly inappropriate and clueless.
I guess you could call this lagoon the first Japanese buffet for the ocean life around Truk Lagoon on 17-18 February 1944...Sushi for all...
Stop playing music on it.
Not one bit of sympathy for these dead. I'm old enough to remember what these guys did to their enemies.
Hopefully the chinese and indonesian wont able to destroy the ship werck for metal like what they current doing in Scs and other place in philippine - indonesia
Where's Pingu?
Why the stupid damn music?
Respect the dead!
