  • A Black shopper is speaking out after being falsely accused of taking a woman’s phone that was actually in her purse all along. Kinley and his partner, whose name on TikTok is T, were shopping at a gift store in Palm Desert, California, when they noticed a woman was looking at them suspiciously. That’s when the woman said, “I just stuck [the phone] right here and you walked up behind me and you swiped it." Eventually, the woman found the phone in her purse, where it had been the whole time.

She accused him without proof or at the very least emptying her purse. That was a humiliating thing for that man to do. She only apologized to save face. When she realized the first time she found her phone she didn’t stop and apologize but continued so her apology means nothing. Just because she’s not getting physical or calling the cops doesn’t mean she gets a pat on the head for “not being the worse kind of Karen”. What a low bar.
