Hey everyone! In this video, I am sharing my kids' favorite hot lunches. I hope you enjoy these packed lunch ideas! My kids prefer hot lunches from home. I asked them what their favorite hot lunches were, so I packed them and filmed it for you all :)

Christy Gior I couldn't even finish this video, the grilled cheese hearts just took the cake. I found your channel a few days ago & you are the sweetest mama! Your kids are so lucky to have you as a mom & they are such sweethearts as well. I wish every child could grow up in a home like the one you & your husband provide for your kids. I've always wanted kids & it seems none of the routes to get there have worked for me. So when I watch your videos, for a few moments I get to feel the family I always dreamed I'd be a part of. I bought those little containers on amazon too, I love them! I line my thermos with a sandwich baggie and fill it with boiling water until I am ready to fill it with my daughter's hot food. I remove the bag, add the food, then quickly close it up & it'll stay hot until lunchtime 😊

@@artisticagi No, I've never had a bag melt. I use zip loc brand bags...maybe that makes a difference??? I know that they are BPA FREE and can withstand heat.😊 I can't vouch for any other brand though.
artisticagi you can also just pour the hot water directly into the cup and leave it for a minute or two then pour it out and dump in hot food.

Christy Gior I am not longer with the county agency but yes. There are many caseworkers who are strong armed by out of touch supervisors who haven’t worked in the field for ages and think they know all the answers!! I was somewhat of a renegade and gave some push back when I really felt I was right about something. Luckily for me for the first few years I had a GREAT supervisor who would even volunteer to come to homes with me to see what I was trying to tell her!
It’s long hours, stressful work and not great pay! So that of course has an effect on a lot!

Christy Gior I know. I think you would find out those ideas came from an out of touch supervisor!!! They should be required to do field work every so often! Some haven’t done any of that for 20 years of more and the landscape of CPS is so much different !

Christy, the way you make sure your children have such fortifying lunches, putting time and effort in the care you continually show them is so heartwarming! They are truly blessed to have you and their dad, as you are to have those angels.
I don’t have a cosco here near me I living in Killeen Texas I’ll check sams club for an alternative I made meatballs and rice my baby loved it

Do u heat ur thermos before adding food I always pour boiling water in my son and let it heat up for Bout 4 min and then add the hot food keep it warmer longer.

I was always surprised about how little Americans eat at lunch then one day I realized lunch isn't you guys biggest meal of the day like it is in my culture. Dinner seems to be the heaviest meal for you guys.
not sure if you already knew but, if you put boiling water in the thermos before hand for like 5 mins and then pour it out when you add the food and it keeps it really nice and hot ! x

You may not remember the meal but you will always remember you never went without food. That's just my personal experience. I was so blessed to never go hungry even if it was something I didn't like we always had more than enough food.
