- It's Materia Menu Monday again - and instead of dealing with the impending destruction of the planet, our 'brave' heroes are going to Wutai! That's right, Dave Strife and Robenhagen are taking a little break from the main quest to visit Wutai and go side-questing with Yuffie (who may have stolen some of their precious materia). It's possible that some familiar faces show up, too...

After Dave finishes FF VII, I would love to see him play Remake😊
The hour-long menuing after Wutai, alongside Cid's triumphant theme, made me emotional. This series has truly given menuing the attention and adoration (except from Robenhägen) that it deserves. God bless you, Dave Strife; it has been an honour and a pleasure to watch you work. ❤

I don't know what Rob was talking about honestly, this was the best episode by far.. well, maybe the one where Dave Bio'd himself was better, unsure.

I really would love to see Dave do Nibelheim sidequest when he gets more backstory on Cloud, its a really important piece to Coud's backstory which was left out when Tifa put him back together.

If Dave wants to upgrade Barret’s counterattack I think you get the contain materia from that crazy lady’s chocobo in madeel in exchange for a specific kind of green. Combined with added effect is excellent. love the series guys keep it up 😁

Some iconic moments in today's stream!! Although you can restore hp/mp on the airship for free (in the operations room) as well as save and phs - saves using all those tents :D
Dave is quite fond of the operations room bloke. 😅
Tents are literally available at every shop for dirt cheap. Halfway through the game I think I just bought 99 tents. Tents are not something that should even be a consideration for saving
This was a great episode what are you talking about lol. Everyones already mentioned the accidental removal of Clouds materia which was hilarious, but the other great moment I loved was both of you singing along to the Highwind music, I was also singing along to it and I wonder how many other people were too, its a fantastic tune!

Well, this episode still has things to love, but my word, the Materia management could make a grown man cry 😂

Which scene is more iconic - the remove all or the self bio from the rufus boss fight in midgar? Or will we have a yet unknown challenger in the remaining episodes?

I'm only like 1 minute in, but Rob is really complaining a lot about how Wutai ruined the momentum of the game, when he was the one who chose to put off Wutai until this point. It just kind of feels like the meme of the guy who shoots the other guy, then looks at the audience and asks "why would *X* do this?"
Yeah I think he really needs a break from work. Love the guy but I'm a bit worried about how angry he is getting. I love a bit of Rob Rage but it is getting a bit uncomfortable for me.

Ultima weapon does damage based on hp. The lower Daves hp the lower the damage

Great series, guys. Rob, don't fret over the menuing. We're here to watch YOU, the game is irrelevant. You are the stars, not the game. Personally, I never even liked FF7, never have, but I've watched and liked every single FF7 stream and have since come to love it. You do you, we'll worry about the other stuff. I haven't played Crisis Core but now that I think of it I'm pretty sure there's another Bahamut in that game too.

I used to spend an hour messing trying to make an optimal combination of Materia in the menus. This is not even enough optimization as far as I'm concerned! At least do it for the final fight!!

There’s a trick to getting a gold chocobo without any racing. It takes about half an hour. I’d be down to watch them do it, honestly, just for him to get KotR

Dave can breed a gold chocobo in his own time. He needs to go back to nibelheim too. He needs to do the mogs base near cosmo canyon too
You could do Wutai after Midgar (I'd say Disc Three but you're messing with the game divisions by playing a digital copy).

There is a RNG hack that allows you to get a gold Chocobo in about 10 mins.

They can do the breeding trick that lets you get the gold chocobo without any racing. I agree it’d be a waste to not see KotR, but I also think they could watch a UA-cam video of it, which wouldn’t be the worst thing.
