Bissonnette is so versatile and tasteful. His skill on the drumset is world class. And well, with all that he does in this performance, his sense of timing, his dynamics and his swing (after all, he's a jazz player and has played with the likes of Maynard Ferguson), his most impressive feat in this video, was balancing a cat on his head. Bravo!

I think Mr Bissonette did his musical homework. He quotes Buddy by occasionally exchanging the downbeat to upbeat emphasis, especially around cadences. He also dupes the sax section's sfz's and fp's on snare during their soli. Those were both very Buddy things.
