I know it’s concerning for people to see carnivores, or any animal, walking around or pacing in their enclosure, and it does happen sometimes… but did you know it often means the animals knows food is coming soon? They get used to a routine in captivity, unlike the wild, where it’s every animal out for themselves, survival of the fittest, any meal possible… when animals are pacing, it’s usually a sign their meal time is coming up, or the keeper is nearby and they already know. Kind of how our dogs and cats always know when we’re… five blocks down the street! Jk. Maybe one. But as soon as you open the door, there they are waiting. My friends work here at the San Diego Zoo, as keepers, and tell me about it. I’ve even witnessed it when I’ve gone with them to work.
Very nice and relaxing video!
that zoo looks awesome
👏👏👏
:)
Great video ! If you like greenhouse style zoo, you should visit the Zurich zoo in Switerland. They have an enormous one, you won't be disappointed.
Thanks! I heared that before and it sure is on my list! Thanks for the recommendation.
Its called 'Wilhelma' :)
Aah dangit. Thanks haha
Nice one! What are the vertical lines on the display glass?
Thanks Matt! Honestly I wish I knew. Unfortunatly there where no keepers about.
Soweit ich weiß sind die Scheiben beheizt damit sie nicht beschlagen auch wenn der Besucherraum sehr kühl ist.
Voor variatie aan reptielen zeker moeite waard om eens te gaan 😊
Eens! :)
