Loved this detail, thank you. I haven't used Wellseal since rebuilding Gardner engines back in the 70's. I'm going to buy a new compressor. As I'm not spraying , I'm tempted to stay with a piston design. It also shows what I know, I thought these were diaphragm compressors. I’m just not sure about longevity or if they can be overhauled like a piston one can.
Just as a thought, temperature change will have an affect on the pressure.The compressed air initially will be hot, when the air cools the pressure will drop sightly.
Hi, I bought one of these Hyundai 25L compressor from EBay, for the silent running, arrived without straps, box slightly damaged, unpacked it and assembled it, plugged it in the wall socket, and it went “BANG” and tripped the electricity, I thought it was me done something wrong so I rechecked it and plugged it in again, same, a dead short in the motor or something, disappointed but sending it back, thinking of going to sue for negligence, I have a pacemaker and if I touch it , it would of killed me, I watched DPD throw it on top of the other parcels in the back of the van on top of everything else on its side, no wonder its faulty.
I'm not surprised, I think the design is good but workmanship is poor. I removed the 2 end plugs in the tank the other day and found more threads that were loose and the plugs were not tightening on the taper thread.
I once thought about buying such a compressor, but after reading reviews and hearing about people's opinions that such a compressor lasts about 60 operating hours and then requires engine overhaul, I gave up on it.
Yes I was thinking that but the good news is that the cylinders can be removed they are just a hardened sleeve, and the piston seals can also be replaced. They are all avalible from Hyundai

Somewhere on that tank (by law) should be a lot of information on when it was pressure tested and to what pressure etc.

11 cfm is the displacement, the fad is the delivery at the tool. I can spray the whole side of a car with a lvlp gun using this compressor.
Great review. Do you know what size thread the couplings are? I know they are XF Euro but cant find the thread size anywhere.

Hi, if you really like to be accurate without the math, fill up the tanks with water and empty it to another bigger barrel. cheers
Thats a realy good idea would have to make sure it is dried out before its used though.

Yes it will take longer to get up to pressure though.
These compressors don't use pistons, they are diaphragm compressors, they use rubber diaphragms hence they don't need lubrication.
