- The idea of “Koolulam” came to Or Taicher's mind six years ago.
In those ten days between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, Or watched the mass prayer in the Western Wall on Yom Kippur eve, which was attended by tens of thousands of people. That show of unity shook him to his core, especially during those days when he felt like the social discourse in Israel was forceful and intolerant. Instantly he asked himself - Can this prayer become a social prayer? A prayer that carries the belief that even for a short while, we are all one. No walls, no discrimination, no racism. Only thousands of people uniting to create one pure and extraordinary moment of solidarity.
Yom Kippur is a day for soul-searching and forgiveness, and also for cleansing the head and soul. We hope this day will do wonders on your heart. Have an easy fast and may you be signed and sealed in the book of life ❤️
הרעיון לקולולם עלה בראשו של אור טייכר לפני 6 שנים. באותם עשרת הימים שבין ראש השנה ליום הכיפורים, אור צפה בתפילת יום הכיפורים המסורתית בכותל המערבי בירושלים, בה לקחו חלק עשרות אלפי אנשים. המחזה הזה צמרר את ליבו, במיוחד בימים בהם הרגיש שהשיח החברתי בישראל הוא כוחני וחסר סובלנות ובן רגע עלתה בו השאלה, האם התפילה הזו יכולה להתקיים גם כתפילה חברתית? תפילה שנושאת את האמונה שלפרק זמן מסוים, כולנו גוף אחד. אין חומות, אין אפליה, אין גזענות. רק אלפי אנשים שמתאחדים ליצירת רגע אחד טהור ויוצא דופן של אחווה.
יום כיפור הוא יום לחשבון נפש ומחילה, וגם יום לניקיון הראש והנשמה.

Koolulam is a social-musical initiative aimed at strengthening the fabric of society. The project centers around mass singing events in which large groups of non-professionals come together to form a collaborative musical creation. Koolulam brings together people from all walks of life to do one thing: stop everything for a few hours and just sing - together.

קולולם הינו מיזם חברתי-מוסיקלי ששם לעצמו כמטרה לחזק את החברה שלנו על ידי חיזוק הקשרים שבין האנשים המרכיבים אותה. הפרויקט מתמקד באירועי שירת המונים פתוחים לקהל הרחב, בהם קבוצות גדולות של אנשים ללא כל רקע מוזיקלי מתאספים יחד בכדי ליצור יצירה מוסיקלית משותפת. קולולם מזמין אליו אנשים ממגוון הקשת החברתית בכדי לעשות דבר אחד - לעצור הכל לכמה שעות ופשוט לשיר, ביחד.

Koolulam est une initiative socio-musicale visant à renforcer notre tissu social. Le projet est d’organiser des événements dans lesquels des milliers de personnes, non professionnelles, se réunissent pour chanter et former une création musicale collaborative. Koolulam rassemble des personnes de tous les horizons qui viennent faire une seule et unique chose : tout arrêter pendant quelques heures et simplement chanter, ensemble.
