Bruuuh 14" Dark Crisp, those are my hats! I fell in love with them when I heard Josh Freese use them on Thirteenth Step and have been playing them myself for 14(?) years now. They're so versatile, I never even felt the need or want to get a different pair since then.
I once made an experiment putting a 20" thin crash over a 20" thick ride. It ain't very practical to play but I have to say it sounded much better than I expected and it was really fun.

I've got the 14's, and 13's, and both amazing! Paiste makes the best sounding cymbals imo, and the hats are at the top.
Best Hi-Hat tips and tricks since Thomas Lang’s 2005 ( or 06 ) video from Hudson Music. Excellent refresher !

Hmm, I should try putting my 18" crash on top of my 18" medium 2002s and see how they sound.
