According to Wikipedia notes on Eugene Wegner : “The player can encounter a man at a campfire, who will tell them about the shenanigans of the ranch. The man also suspects Wegner to have killed Joshua Burgess” . This strongly implies that the person Wegner killed before is actually Joshua, and as the owner of the ranch, he had the power to keep everyone’s mouths shut, and falsify the reason for Joshua’s death who was definitely not “accidentally shot”
@@lexicassels2370 and fyi you can find Eugene Wegner standing on his house’s porch, where he will be hostile, or roaming across the ranch, not especially hostile anymore. His name is not specified at the bottom right, he’s basically the guy who attacks Arthur in the beginning of this video

Hey MrBossFTW, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries it was not uncommon for the way a person died to be put on their gravestone. Especially on the frontier. So “accidentally shot” might not be sarcasm, it could be the way he died. Also, the position of the shots on the wall looks to be about head high. I think he got drunk, maybe with some buddies, dared someone to do trick shots around him, as you do with the two brothers, and he was accidentally shot. Just my thought. Love your videos BTW!!
One time I was challenged to shoot on bottles on a fence, a random guy was working in the fields directly behind the bottles. The aim on my revolver automaticly moved to the person, so I accidently killed him and hell broke lose
So here's a theory. Joshua was the lover of Miriam, and may have been the owner of the saloon. Seamus also had a sweet spot for Miriam and Eugene noticed. Eugene didn't like either of them so paid Seamus to kill Joshua. Joshua may have survived the fight over because of a rivalry they've had in the past, so Joshua would expect it. Joshua fought back, but Seamus shot Joshua in the neck, which would explain the blood looking as if he fell and squirmed as a struggle of bleed out. Eugene did pay Seamus for the murder, but did not give his daughter to him. Miriam was heartbroken over Joshua and could not fall in love with another soul. Also, if Joshua was the owner of the saloon, and Seamus killed him, wouldn't that explain why he sells tons of moonshine?
I think there's a pretty easy explanation as to why those bullet holes are so far up the wall. It's possible the shooter was at a lower angle to his/her target. So the shooter was either in a sitting or lying position and was shooting up at their victim. Another likely scenario is that both the shooter and the victim were standing and the shooter fast drew their pistol and fired from the hip at a sharp 45 degree angle. Although this would require the both of them to be standing in close proximity to each other. Face-to-face as it were.
Lumbago is an interesting disease. It's funny how it sound like it's quite a bit more intense than lower back pain. I've gone through lumbago recently.
A well narrated video, nicely presented, about an interesting puzzle that totally fails to live up to the title you gave it. How hard would it have been to title it "What do we know about the girl trapped in Emerald Ranch?" Disingenous to published using a poster image of someone else's work.
Very interesting, I never knew about any of this at Emerald Ranch, I do remember finding a man's dog in another town, but he was very kind and appreciative to me and happy to see his dog. No, the only encounter I had with Emerald Ranch was in the mission "He's British of course" where I track down the male lion, shoot and kill him in self defense, then bring back one of his claws as proof. Considering that man's intensions with his dog (and that "aim weapon"" is your only available option, I would of shot him!
Miriam accidentally shot Joshua while drunkenly shooting around his head as he stood against the wall. Or maybe it wasn't entirely an accident. Maybe she was mad at him and was trying to scare him. She put three in the wall around his head and then one in his face. Eugene, being the head honcho around the place, passed it off to the law as an accident, and then forbade Miriam to leave the house.
Only thing I found missing is if you go to the gunsmith in Valentine or the clothes shop they talk of how she’s being trapped in the house by her father
the detail situation that went in to a story for a video games that matter or dont matter to a player that is simply crafted out is simply amazing.. i havent even come across this situation at all yet and finnished the game..Rockstar is awesome.. it's the little things they put in that game that impresses me., ive finnished the game and i know theres still lots of reason to keep playing.
All these side stories seem to weigh less on you when you remember you've probably killed a few hundreds of cops, bandits and civilians during your play through.
She could be based off a real person called Blanche monnier I think she’s called- her mom and brother locked her in her room for 13 years and when she was found she only weighed like 67 lbs- she loved a guy her family didn’t approve of- story sounds very similar to this One in rdr2- was suppose to take place in the same time era
Interesting to see if you can give the letter to the uncle. Also another fun theory in part with Eugene Wegner is he went William Tell on Joshua, instead of trying to shoot an apple of the guy's head he tried shooting a beer off his head.
i think the bullet holes on the wall were not fatal. if so, those wouldve been some pretty powerful bullets if they went through and through. but..... if they did actually hit a human, wouldnt there be blood on the wall? i dont know just an idea. im not expert so i mightve got some of those wrong
I have issues when any plays forensic scientist. Saying the bullets holes are really high must mean it was a tall person. That's making the "Assumption" the bullets were shot from the same level they hit the wall at. What if the shooter was on the ground and shot up? That kind of changes things.
Tango Nevada so would the shooter be on the ground where the blood splatter is? im not disagreeing with you im just trying to make more sense of it. maybe they both had guns and only one person managed to hit the other🤷♂️. yea im no forensic scientist but i do find it interesting and what they do
@@hoot3780 I was referring less to the scene in the game then I was to what I see in real life on Crime Scene Shows and the media when they make assumptions about the positions people were in and then you can easily poke holes in it with something as simple as "Maybe the other guy was a midget"
Also "blood on the wall " because bullets go thru someone is movie narrative.. lottsa times in real life, IF a bullet goes thru someone and imbeds in an object behind the victim, the bullet is too fast and too small to produce blood splatter .. usually only head shots trigger that kind of "red mist"
my theory would be the father went into the saloon got a drink and shot joshua from outside and then falsely stated he got drunk and accidentaly shot his gun, then he locked his daughter inside the house so she wouldnt get out, he stays out side to make sure no lover can reach her and no one can know much about her and to make sure she doesnt go out from the front door, the girl likes to look out the window because she misses the outdoors and dreams one day to actually go outside and live free as joshua said in the letter, that shes a girl with big life (or something like that).
Ahmad idheileh failed it was her girl cousin that wrote the letter and how can the pops shoot Joshua from outside when the bullets hole are inside of the wall? Your forensics deducing sucks lol
While playing Red Dead 2 I came across an abandoned mail carriage in the Cumberland forest region and near Fort Wallace. In the carriage was a loot box and inside was a ginseng elixir and 5 or 6 letters. One letter is addressed to Miriam Weigner (The girl in the house at Emeral Ranch) and is written by Annabelle her cousin. In it Annabelle talks about living in New York City and about Miriam’s mental health. In the letter Annabelle also tells her uncle (Mr. Weigner/Owner of Emerald Ranch) that if he is intercepting the letters and not letting Miriam read them then she will be furious or something like that.

That game won't stop surprising us
Great vid mr boss best part of the video is 12:49!😉
I SEE WHAT U DID THERE🤣
4:45 or they were shooting at an *aNgLE*
"What happens when you free her" idk. You didnt free her and basically said you can't unless you glitch
When I found the dog, it wasn't near the grave.
Useful video though - I can stop wasting my time trying to get into the house now.
Only thing I found missing is if you go to the gunsmith in Valentine or the clothes shop they talk of how she’s being trapped in the house by her father
2:07 because it’s raining and the soccer ball poped
Why didn’t you put “theories” in the headline?? Made me watch for nothing
I literally just come to these videos for the comments 🤣🤣🤣
I also find it interesting, that Joshua's grave, isn't among the rest in the small plot on the one road coming into the ranch.
the detail situation that went in to a story for a video games that matter or dont matter to a player that is simply crafted out is simply amazing.. i havent even come across this situation at all yet and finnished the game..Rockstar is awesome.. it's the little things they put in that game that impresses me., ive finnished the game and i know theres still lots of reason to keep playing.
All these side stories seem to weigh less on you when you remember you've probably killed a few hundreds of cops, bandits and civilians during your play through.
You kill that many in like 4 missions
I almost took down the whole of Saint Dennis haha... Stood on a boat and just emptied my guns on every cop coming to bring me down.
I fell like all the titles of his vids starts with:What Happens...
2:06 "we don't know, why she is in her own house...?" Really ? Maybe because she lives there XD
No she forced to be there by the owner of the ranch you can see the backstory of the ranch
the real title : What Happens If You Free The Girl Trapped Inside Emerald Ranch In Red Dead Redemption 2?(which you can't)
I think the dad had him killed because they were going to leave town together and he's afraid of losing her and that's why she cant leave the house.
Exactly what I think happened
Why don’t we try saving her and see for ourselves? 😂
She is being forced... TO WATCH JAKE PAUL
S,W,J B. That sucks
Wow.
*Save her*
Oh God, now we really have to save her, she's truly suffering in there.
The poor girl lost her lover, isolated, probably depressed.
Arthur: shoots window to see her reaction.
better yet, you can kill her dad when hes hanging out front
She could be based off a real person called Blanche monnier I think she’s called- her mom and brother locked her in her room for 13 years and when she was found she only weighed like 67 lbs- she loved a guy her family didn’t approve of- story sounds very similar to this One in rdr2- was suppose to take place in the same time era
Interesting to see if you can give the letter to the uncle. Also another fun theory in part with Eugene Wegner is he went William Tell on Joshua, instead of trying to shoot an apple of the guy's head he tried shooting a beer off his head.
Helllllo people of the internet have a nice dayy
Hi partner!
Allblackcat13 Lambert you to 😊
U too brother
I was the 60th like
Howdy.
i think the bullet holes on the wall were not fatal. if so, those wouldve been some pretty powerful bullets if they went through and through. but..... if they did actually hit a human, wouldnt there be blood on the wall? i dont know just an idea. im not expert so i mightve got some of those wrong
Tango Nevada yea i think i understand what youre saying
Also "blood on the wall " because bullets go thru someone is movie narrative.. lottsa times in real life, IF a bullet goes thru someone and imbeds in an object behind the victim, the bullet is too fast and too small to produce blood splatter .. usually only head shots trigger that kind of "red mist"
my theory would be the father went into the saloon got a drink and shot joshua from outside and then falsely stated he got drunk and accidentaly shot his gun, then he locked his daughter inside the house so she wouldnt get out, he stays out side to make sure no lover can reach her and no one can know much about her and to make sure she doesnt go out from the front door,
the girl likes to look out the window because she misses the outdoors and dreams one day to actually go outside and live free as joshua said in the letter, that shes a girl with big life (or something like that).
Ahmad idheileh failed it was her girl cousin that wrote the letter and how can the pops shoot Joshua from outside when the bullets hole are inside of the wall? Your forensics deducing sucks lol
This game will never leave my library
I gave you all i had Dutch........
No you didn't. You still have clothes and weapons. Oh and John got himself killed avenging you. You didn't win. I'm eating the buck you keep seeing and wearing its fur.
She's in the house 'cos it's pissin' down.
