Really glad to see you putting out videos again! I've wanted to watch your technique for a while hoping you'd have someone follow you, so the alien cam seems to do that well enough. Please use it in some bump runs soon! Prior mogel runs show you floating effortlessly over the bumps. I really want to see what's actually going on below! Damn I miss Breck... 5 years now. -Jim in PA Thanks!
Glad to see new videos! Coming from the ice palace on the east coast, these have been super helpful in navigating (or trying to decide how to navigate) Breck best! Really like the new angles and looking back up at the slope to determine its true steepness. Welcome back!
Awesome video--I love all your videos and try not to miss any! Breck has labeled Bonanza as the "easiest way down" but I find where Bonanza passes under Merc to be a choke point that frequently gets jammed up with beginners crossing the entire slope resulting in many wrecks and skiers needing assistance. I think the lift tower, signage, and a couple of different fall lines make this area more challenging to a beginner that steepness alone would indicate. For Peak 9, Would you recommend Cashier as an alternate for a beginner ready to tackle a blue? It seems a little less congested at the very least which can ease a newer skiers nerves.
It really depends on the day, but for the most part...the route I took in this video is how I take most people down their first blue run ever. If Bonanza looks really busy from the chair-lift, I might use Cashier.
Hey Ted, great skiing videos like always. I got a question. From your experience how are the lift lines for Presidents Day at Breck? I usually come up there mid January and always during the weekdays so there's never any lines but this year I will be up there skiing Mon-Thu and Presidents Day is on Mon.. People are telling me scary things about the lines hahah
This is a busy time of year to be sure! My best guess is that Monday will be the busiest of your trip. Weather does not look like it will play a big factor in the crowds for now.
@@BreckSnowPro Thank you sir. I hope its not too bad. I spent too much money coming from Florida and would hate to be stuck in long lines. Maybe I'll convince my friends to go to Vail on Mon since it's a bigger resort
Thanks for showing these runs, going to ski Breck March for the first time since 1979.
1979...wow! You have me beat by about a decade.

I'm going to see if the aliens can handle the bumps tomorrow.
@@BreckSnowPro Right On, Ted! Thanks
Good to see back on the slopes. Thanks for great lessons last season. Hope to see you for more lessons this year.
Thanks Todd! I look forward to skiing with you again!!!
I appreciate the aliencam which gives an indication of steepness.
Thanks! I hope to put it to good use this coming winter.
@@BreckSnowPro I'll look for it. My next trip there will be on 2/1/2025.

Thanks! I always have lofty goals for how much I'd like to post in a given season. Hopefully this coming season will be a good one!
I had a great trip to Breck but had really bad altitude sickness. Learned a lot from your vids before the trip.
Please keep posting I love these videos! I’m not an expert but I’m definitely not ready for a black 😂😅
Welcome back!
Thank you! I've been shooting a lot of video the last few weeks. But I'm slow at getting the editing done.

I would, but I'm booked to teach Sunday. And I expect to have a showing appointment Saturday. Have fun out there!

Hello! What kind of pole did you use to get these videos from the back?
The pole is nothing special... $20 selfie stick about 3' long that I got off of Amazon. The camera is a Insta360 X3.
The story is it's an Insta360 X3 camera with Third Person View Backpack Mount. I'm flying in with mine Monday. See you Tuesday. LOL
lol same but on sunday!
