Mike, this has to be one of the best reviews you've ever done. It also could be that i'm super interested in this car since I drive an IS. You clearly are ecstatic with the cup "rollers" in the front middle console. :o) Love the undercarriage camera showing the suspension while driving.

Honestly this car is perfect the way it is. Fun and power and beutiful while still getting close to 30 on the highway... Love it.
Just got a 2023 is350- no performance package and no upgraded sound system. The sound system is a MUST- this 10 speaker premium is lacking for a 50k car. Aside from that it handles like a cloud- can't imagine what it would be like with that extra sport + mode. Anyhow- this car is a SPORTY luxury sedan. It is no longer a sport sedan like the 2 IS. It is not very fast. Even if it was tuned with 20 more horsepower it would make a difference. But 311 HP on a car that is almost 2 tons, well- its a bit lack luster. The F sport comes standard with a cold air intake so that's off the table and the ECU has not been cracked yet for a tune. I would have gone with the IS500 if it wasn't for the 20K mark up my California dealers are charging. Overall the car has super and I mean SUPER aggressive styling and is so comfortable to drive. But if you are not concerned with long term ownership and reliability, and want something that throws you back in your seat- this car is not for you. I don't see the complaints with the infotainment or technology aspect of the car- but I am coming from a 2IS. Personally I think this car is a great choice if speed is not your main priority. It is a quick head turner and a DREAM to drive on Cali roads. And if you have been to California that says something.
TLDR- GET THE UPGRADED SOUND SYSTEM AND THE PREFORMANCE PACKAGE- IF SPEEFD IS YOUR NEED GET THE IS500 AND SPEND THE 20K ON MARKUP. Much love Lexus Family

The external camera work is first class, awesome shots of the car! I didn't know about the mini-wheels on the cupholders, now I have to check it out on my '16 IS350 FSport to see if I have'em. :-D NOTE: The ASC is more pronounced (to me) when you're in Sport+ Mode, not the standard Sport mode. Nice indepth video.
I checked, no cool cup-holder slidey-wheel for me. Time to upgrade! 😜

RWD if I remember correctly. I don't think Lexus ever sent the window sticker otherwise I would have included it in the video with all the details.

Also like how you white out the front windshield in your driving portion, so the interior dash layout can be accentuated.
Would love to see you review a Lexus RC 350 F sport RWD. Definitely not the AWD, it has the 6 speed auto and extra weight

Is the camera the same for all IS350? The one I am considering has a not so clear camera and I don’t think it has the 360 camera, unless I just haven’t figured it out yet

Are you aware it has sport plus mode? You havent mentioned that at all. It changes the whole dynamics of the car. The adaptive suspension comes into play.
I couldn't tell a difference. Maybe at high speeds on a curvy racetrack it might be useful.
Interior much the same as my 2016 350 fsport. Just a lil change.

My opinion as to why it has a CD player... Generally more mature people will be buying these cars that have CD's and even know what CD's are. And at $50k they are not your average 21 year old's car. Most young guys with money are opting for ZL1 and Hellcat instead of luxury sedan. I just got my 22 350 F-Sport last week and absolutely love it. This is me coming from a 2016 Camaro 2SS and 2018 Mustang GT.

@@CustomLambo22 It is slower. I will just say that right off the bat. However, it is a better driving car, more comfortable, more room (I have a 5 year old and the Camaro was a nightmare to get him in the back). The Lexus just looks better and drives like a 50k car versus my base model GT and 2SS. Side note is I also get more looks and compliments on it comparatively. Mine is Infrared color so it's just freakin sick looking. I just installed the F Sport Performance Exhaust too so it sounds wicked. All in all, I absolutely do not regret it. That said, I wouldve gone for the is500 if I had known about them at the time.

It's a beautiful car. It's just too bad it's so outdated inside and under the hood. They have now solved the engine problem with the IS500.

@@henryphan698 No one is having engine problems with a luxury car today. Not enough of a problem exists to make a difference. Everyone has moved on to turbos, even Lexus in their LS. No amount of reliability makes up for using a V6 from 2006. It’s BS. Acura, Infiniti and Genesis all use turbo V6s in this class and they aren’t having engine problems.
@@MercOne Where are you hearing that? Cause according to reliably rankings genesis ain’t even close up that list. NA will always be better than turbos. 🤷🏼♂️

Based on childhood experiences, that cruise control stalk has not changed design since the early 90s Toyota/Lexus products. I guess why change when it ain't broke.
Also that turn signal is a page out of the BMW book (which as far I know, reverted to regular indented turn signals again by 2018 if not sooner). A change no one asked for lol
Really detailed review. Lexus is just sailing on it's reputation for quality and reliability, not on competitive cars. This car is so outdated it isn't even funny.

To be honest if you compare this to a 2021 XSE Corolla it has nearly everything this IS has without the price markup. Toyota needs to differentiate more between Toyota and the Lexus brand.
