In nepal we call it " dhendo" made of ragi flour...its typical nepali food..serve with chicken curry..cooking method is also same..i wish ashis sir once visit nepal and explore typical nepalese food
Here in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh is a compulsory food...which we call it as muddhe ....we eat everyday atleast once ....it goes well with veg sambars also..m

Dear Kripal, I did my MBBS from Bengaluru, spent 7 beautiful years in Bengaluru, Kripal, those were perhaps the most wonderful days of my life. whether it was eating out at the Taj Restaurant in city market, or those sumptuous kebabs at imperial, or the fab biryani at annapoorna , or the gorgeous north indian meal at the pai vaibhav, or the road side markets at the KR road serving those softest idlis. there were so many other places , my memory has been fading of lately, but you bring them all back to life, like i have am there transformed, thanks a ton for that,
