"Designated driver" us probably my favorite Biden description.
Why though? Biden supported involvement in the middle east as early as 1998 and praised bush multiple times for his wars in Iran and Iraq. The major bills he drafted where all about incarceration for minor crimes which mostly affected African Americans, he also opposed the desegregation of schools. He flip flops between franking and the green new deal depending on which state he is talking in; is incredibly ambivalent about whether or not he will pack the court which could erode the integrity of the least partisan branch of government (every time rode v wade has been discussed by SCOTUS the Republicans have held a 6 to 3 majority and still decided to upheld it). Not to mention the myriad of lies he has told to the American public that where quickly proven to be false (his medal story, marching with mlk, imprisonment with mandela, plagiarizing speeches, being the "top of his class"). This guy has been in political power for 40+ years and done little to make this a better country.
As opposed to Donald who had spent four years in office undermining our democracy (did you see he encouraged those dipshits in Texas who tried to run the Biden bus off the road?), golfing, pulling out of international agreements, shitposting on twitter, pardoning criminals, and attempting to bribe foreign governments to do his bidding.
Yeah, I'll take Biden every day. (And fwiw Biden has plenty of accomplishments, the Violence Against Women Act, the Paris Climate Accords, the auto industry recovery, the assault rifle ban, etc.)
@@ConnorShea The assault rifle ban had no effect in crime (crime lowered at the same rate it had for the past decades), the Paris accord was ignored by China and India (the 2 countries with the highest co2 emissions), and the auto industry was bound to recover so it was the safest possible bet. I do agree with the shit posting, but completely disagree with undermining democracy. Every mistake big or small of Trump and his presidency has been aired to the public (something unprecedented in our time), social media and news networks exercise their freedom of expression with no fear of repercussions no matter how false or radical their opinion might be. As for pulling out of international agreements, I honestly don't see how that is bad, the vast majority hampered the American economy or subsidized other countries economy and military with little to no benefit for our taxpayers.

@@frking100 I get tired of Trump and his supporters whining about media mistreatment. For 8 years Fox hammered Obama on the economy. "Can't hit 3% GDP growth" "Unemployment numbers are made up, 195 million are really out of work", etc., etc. The ONLY thing Trump is hanging his hat on is the economy, but I'm wondering why the MSM isn't pointing out he hasn't hit 3% GDP growth. Or that his job gains are lower than Obama's were. Yeah, they admonish him for all of his lies, but they could easily be hammering him on the fact that he's the only president to have a massive tax cut that didn't spur the economy. He still got the normal deficit spending that comes with a tax cut. We were starting to see signs of a recession before COVID took him off the hook for that, but somehow he has convinced people that the market equates to the economy. And even there, the DJIA is lower today than it was on January 26, 2018. Nearly 3 years at a loss, but we hear nothing.

IMO Obama is my favorite US president due almost solely to the fact that he is just so CHILL. He’s the kind of guy you just want to be friends with. He has a amazing sense of humor and is last speech as president was a literal stand up comedy!
I can safely say that my dad has not gotten any extra money when a person died of Covid- the only thing he got was extra hours and eventually, the virus himself.
