Rainbow Dash Lol they may not have rapped about weed but all the artists you and everyone else mentioned def smoke weed. And do your research guy, nothin wrong with weed, whether you choose to smoke it or not.
That's truly interesting. I think something similar happened with early Jazz or Rock N' Roll. Perhaps it was both. Black Americans founded the genre(s), but couldn't quite hit platinum. But Elvis (for rock) and a number of white individuals for Jazz grew more popular exponentially. Not because they were better, but simply because people like representation and are more willing to support people who look like them. Louie Armstrong's skill made him go international, but he had to give his all to receive his well-deserved recognition. Someone on here made a pretty insightful comment. Black Americans create the genres, but because they make up a small percentage, their reach isn't as long as say white Americans. Therefore, when white Americans do the same thing, it gets national and international attention and becomes what we call "mainstream". I've noticed this recurring pattern for decades. Thanks for the information. Time to do more research.

We got a safe in the trunk with money in a stack
With dice in the front and Brooklyn's in the back
Why won't you take my ride
No sleep 'til
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
Ain't seen the light since we started this band
M.C.A. - get on the mic my man
Born and bred Brooklyn - U.S.A
They all me Adam Yauch - but I'm M.C.A
Like a lemon to a lime - a lime to a lemon
I sip the def ale with all the fly women
Got limos, arena, TV shows
Autograph pictures and classy hos
Step off homes - get out of my way
Taxing little girlies form here to L.A
Waking up but I get to sleep
Cause I'll be rocking this party eight days a week
No sleep 'til
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
Yeahh!!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
No sleep 'til
Brooklyn!
Thanks for the lyrics, man
this needs more likes
👍👍👍
Thanks for the lyrics! Much appreciated! 👍👏👏
all's good except... @ 2:05 it's Adrock saying: "why you always biting my rhymes?" not "why wont you take my ride"
Boomer here returning for good memories. This hit the spot.
Ok boomer
X'er here. All yall STFU
Me too 😄 idk why I randomly thought of them
Absolutely
My favourite guys since 1994
I'm 40 so I wasn't lucky enough to see their 1980s music till UA-cam
Will never forget being 6 and jamming out to all their songs with my dad. NSTB and Brass Monkey were always my favs. 17 years later I'm still jamming out and know I'll always come back. RIP to my pops and his favorite member MCA
people forget about how awesome this album is
I've been "rocking this party" since it came out... I don't know just how the heck I missed this rendition of the song! I literally just turned 50, and I still love these guys! RIP to the one that left us too early!!!
Instead of "anybody here after seeing _" im gonna say...anybody here because you actually were alive for when this absolutely banger dropped?
Wore out the tape in my walkman Panasonic walkman couldn't afford the Sony.
I’m here because this is my 4year olds favorite song.
Yep, I'm old
I'm here because I inherited my dad's good music taste.
Now go listen to RUN DMC doing Walk This Way with Steven Tyler lol
One if the best and most rememberable albums ever made
It's "memorable"...and I'm sure glad I never heard anything they did until tonight...about 30 seconds was enough.
Rememberable........ congratulations on coining a new word. I'm sure it will catch on
If I had a nickel for every time a 2023 movie with Chris Pratt had this song play, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened twice.
Also, amazing that a project without Daredevil in it managed to do a single-take hallway fight scene justice as opposed to the one that did.
Best comment I’ve read in a while
Crazy coincidence
What’s the other movie besides gotg 3?
@@Savsal12 The Super Mario Bros. Movie
How did this happen twice? How does it KEEP happening twice? We get a lot of mileage out of this meme.
Took Rap and Rock to a whole nother level.
Our manager is crazy, he's always smoking -BEEEEEP!
Sweet
He's always smoking dust
Looks like Dennis Rader too.
33 years later and we’re still rocking this party...
Eight Days a Week! 🤘
Well ladies and gentlemen....hhheeeerrrreees your #33😱
EliYeet Yes
Hell ya!
Fucking true
11,889 days a week
I love this song. It hits hard with me cause my dad's a truck driver for Brooklyn bottling. We would listen to this when he would drive his load from Milton NY to Brooklyn. This brings me back to being a kid riding with him.
I can't believe they edited out 1 of the words. 1:41 Into this song. It's a reference to their 1st manager,Sean the captain Carasov.
RIP Captain, you are still missed
I loved the old Evil Beastie Boys. ❤
God I miss when music was like this
me too..... even though I'm 12
I'm ten years older than you and I wasn't even born yet when this came out either
+Sylvia Rose Another 12 year old on UA-cam. Where are your parents?
Same too and I'm 16
Typical critics. 'Different is bad, be hip hop or rock but not both. And why is there a turntable?!' Well, at least the people loved them. And still do
This was the first music video I worked on. I was the Production Assistant and still have the “License to I’ll” album they gave me
Since 1986❤😂🎉.....
Still here as a old school B Boy 😊.
🇨🇵France Here
2:30 is such a legendary moment, MCA really went off
Introducing my 13 year old son to some of the better classic music from back in the day. "This is some of the good stuff that I listened to when I was your age."
Now that's parenting. 🤘☺❤❤
That's what good Dads do.
@@0hellolife0 Word!
When i was 13 my dad told me to listen to this... Now im 18 and still listening to the best musik. 🤘
There will never be another Bestie Boys...this era of music is all gone
I know and that kills me. I miss this era very much
@@brianmeen2158 yeah man, this is crazy
Thank goodness!
who cares. Every generation thinks their music is special and the golden age of rock or rap or whatever. The fact is they are only golden ages because the audience were young. In reality they are all pretty crap really.
Nobody ill-er than the Beasties.. still gives me chills til this day.. one of the dopest damn beats ever made
Ha ha, I love this song. Way back in the 80's, my friends and I would cruise in my car jamming to the Beastie Boys. That's right, 4 teenaged girls driving aroud a tiny little midwestern farm town jamming to the Beasties. That was the 80's. Great memories!
Was a masterpiece long before GOTG3. I still have the CD, one of the best.
This song is amazing, it never gets old🤫
I'm a rock chick, ( a 55 year old one ) hate hip hop & rap but I love the beastie boys , I was 19 when their first album came out , still listen to it now while I'm driving my sensible ladies car .
The best rap I've ever heard, The Beastie Boys are not into weed, killing, rape, or any of that shit!
Dude, Run-DMC has some damn good music without any of that stuff too.
Reid Templeton cool
also good choices
Rainbow Dash Lol they may not have rapped about weed but all the artists you and everyone else mentioned def smoke weed. And do your research guy, nothin wrong with weed, whether you choose to smoke it or not.
funny cuz a lot of their fan base smokes herbz!
How can you even say you're human if you don't love this song!? I need it to live!!
2 Movies: The Super Mario Bros Movie & Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.3
1 Actor: Chris Pratt
1 Song: No Sleep Till Brooklyn
The Perfect Match
Okie Dokie!
My dream is to ride across the Brooklyn Bridge rockin out to this song first. But wait... there's so much more. 😏😎✌️ Genx shiznizzle 🥰🥳💪🙏🙌🤟💫
I love this song, I must have bought this album over a hundred of times, the Beastie Boys was the shit, Hip Hop's first multi platinum album
