  • 32 Week Pregnancy Update: This week I had my 32 week growth scan and wasn't reassured by the results. We will continue to monitor his growth no make sure that the marginal cord insertion isn't causing intrauterine growth restriction issues. Still practicing our Spinning Babies exercises in hopes that he will flip from being breech.

My son had IUGR and delivered at 37 weeks and he always measured small but when we delivered he did great. He is now 18 months and he’s now caught up. It’s definitely a scary thing to go through with not having definitive answers but you’re so close to the end and I’m praying for you and have faith all will be okay

Oh mama, I’m sorry that challenges keep popping up. You’re doing so well and look at how amazing your body has continued to nurture your baby for 32+ weeks. Pregnancy/birth is so unpredictable and there is only so much within your control. I’m sure you are in good hands and I’m glad that technology is available to keep you and your baby safe. Thank you for your updates and I will keep you both in my prayers 🙏🏻❤️

At my 29 week scan baby was 3.086 pounds only (1.4kg) and that worried me a lot. Dr said that baby is 100% healthy but he will not be a big baby. She also said that I should expect a baby up to 6.6 pounds. He is growing constantly but still measuring a little under. Your videos always give me a little piece of mind because we are I think 1-2 weeks apart only. Haven’t had any Braxton Hicks or I didn’t recognize them

My daughter had IUGR. She was born at 37 weeks at 4 pounds 12 ounces. I delivered early because of preeclampsia. She is 6 now and in the 50 percentile. She did amazing after delivery. Never spent a day in the NICU. Try not to worry you are doing everything right mama!

I never had Braxton-Hicks (that I’m aware of). When I was induced, I was told I had been contracting regularly when they hooked me up to the monitor, before they started the induction, but I never felt it. Sending hopes and good juju!

I never had Braxton Hicks, not once! Kept waiting for them to come but nope. Really hope you feel less stressed soon but I certainly wouldn't worry about not getting Braxton Hicks.

I hope you have heard from your doctor by now..... im going through the same thing right now. at 22 weeks my baby's head measured in the 6th percentile, but her head was proportionate to her body. My MFM dr didn't seem too concerned. he said we would follow her growth trend and make sure she is growing.... I go in tomorrow at 27 weeks for my follow up scan.... and my husband gets to come. 🤗

I never felt Braxton hicks either. I had some tightening towards the end, but was never sure if they were Braxton Hicks.

Just adding to the perspective of Braxton Hicks. I had regular BH starting at 20weeks! I went into labor at 38+5. All the midwifes had a bet going I would have a fast labor because of all the “practice”....I had a 29hr labor 🤷‍♀️

I didn't know that all of those supplements existed. All I take is my prenatal and I have prescribed iron pills as a just in case scenario

I’m really hoping I misheard ... delivery near 36/37 weeks right not 26/27?
Ugh another bump in the road. This appointment sounds like it was very stressful.

“Normal people wouldn’t react this way”. HA! What’s normal? I’ve never experienced infertility but I’m practically your twin when it comes to anxious thoughts and your perspective at all of your appointments. I’ve been binge watching your videos all weekend. I’m 7.5 months ahead of you so let me say this as the you from the future: Kingsley is going to be awesome! No matter how the birth turns out, you’ll be amazed at your strength after you come through it. I consider my birth experience traumatic. My son was born on his due date and that was the only thing that went according to plan (I’ll spare you the details) And we had challenges related to that trauma after the fact. BUT all is well now.
Also, I don’t think I had Braxton Hicks at this stage. And then when I did start to have them, I didn’t even feel it. I only knew because they would show up on my twice a week NSTs.

I also did not feel Braxton Hicks, had my daughter at 41 weeks and 4 days without ever feeling any.

Obviously you're aware of the potential for inaccuracy in the growth scans. I was told that I was on track for a 9 pound baby after a growth scan, and my full term baby was only 7 pounds and 7 ounces, which is only slightly above the population average of 7 pounds 5 ounces.
A good friend of mine's baby was 6 pounds when she was born about 4 weeks ago. A lot of the people around her were acting like big babies were a taboo thing, and I think she was quite pleased to have a little bubba. My friend really wanted to breast feed her baby, she had talked about doing so for the full year of her maternity leave. But her baby was too tiny to be able to do a good job of breastfeeding, and now she will only take a bottle. My 7 and a half pound baby is still exclusively breast feeding at 8 weeks old. So it turns out that having a bigger (or average) sized baby better is for some things. I realise that you have intrauterine concerns about having a small baby, but I'm pointing out that the problems can extend beyond birth, especially if you are wanting to breastfeed.
My baby wasn't breech, but he was posterior - i.e. his spine against mine. This led to me having to have a C-section, after going through labour to the point of pushing for over an hour, which I'm immensely disappointed about. I really wanted to have a vaginal birth so I could try for another baby soon after my first. I hope things work out according to your birth plan for you.
I had very few Braxton Hicks contractions too.
