Your videos have proven to be a huge help on my journey of rebuilding the engine for my 1199S panigale that ran out of oil. I haven't started stripping down the engine just yet, im finishing up making the engine stand from angle iron. I pulled the oil pan to reveal lots of gold flakes from the bearings. Any suggestions or tips are welcome and appreciated
More often than not that would be from a big or small end bearing. Although I am not sure if there are any other materials in a 1199 that may produce gold flakes.
thank you..is so amazing..have the oportunity of watching how beautiful are the elements of the bike..is totally engineering desing...so advanced piezes...keep teaching.. please
This is such a useful video, thanks! I'm about to swap my swingarm on my 959 for a 1299 single sided swingarm. Can I ask please.... Do you think I should change all the bearings on the 1299 swingarm? Either the ones in the hub or the ones that connect to the chassis/engine? Is it a servicing job that makes sense to do while I have the swingarm on the bench? ...or are they something that just doesn't really need replacing unless something has actually happened to warrant buying the parts and doing the job? Many thanks in advance!
Hi is it possible to upgrade the 1199s swing arm pivot to the adjustable version or are the engine mounting points different on the R version to the S?

Oetiker clamps! Lol. Great video as always. Therapeutic watching you work. Hope you’re enjoying it as much as we are.
Like I said can never remember of the top of my head lol :)
Thanks, I love working on these bikes
This is a quality video! Will be using this to take mine apart for an engine swap thanks very much for sharing 👍
Good luck 👍

HI Carlos, it was a pleasure to work on the bike if a little challenging due to how tight the packaging of all the components are. 👍
Hate the music, but other than that 10/10.
Thanks Jyrki, its a hard balance to get right on the music front :) Glad the rest of the video is okay
We need more videos!!
Will catch up with more content soon 👍👍😎
Got any videos on replacing just the swingarm on a 1199R?
Hola , donde puedo conseguir el torque que lleva cada tornillo ?

The mounts on the engine are different but you can order them from Ducati :)
Any idea where I could get one of those stands from as that looks very handy! Also looks expensive!!
They are made by Pierobon, I got mine second had from Codex Motorsports who I don't think are trading any longer.
Im making my own stand out of angle iron. I'll keep you posted on the outcome
Great video! What is the hex size for the swing arm supports?
The standard swingarm supports will need Size 10 hex key, a long one to get all the way in.
superb videos
Thanks again :)
Question. Going from 1299 to R engine, do you need R wiring loom? Or are they compatible?
HI Yong, its the same loom on the early R and S, the later model R's had no electronic suspension so use a different loom.
DesmoWerx thanks! Didn’t think about the electronic suspension. I have 15R but thinking to get 14R engine
Im just confused. If ECU is stayed same, I was assuming loom didn’t matter. ECU controls electronic forks, I would’ve thought.
If just replacing the engine you will have no issues with the loom
