I've always been a fan of Baudouin but this is the first time I have heard his baritone voice. Let's just hope he continues when leaving the PCCB this year. He is simply the best.
Most choirs do that. But very few choirs have tour program extensive enough for spectators to be able to watch a boy grow as a singer. The times when choirs were for entertainment purposes only are long gone. These days these choirs are the greenhouse for theater talents. I'm sure you've heard the "Cat Duo" performed by two PCCB boys. At least one of them (Regis Mengus) is now an opera singer. And a baritone. :-( PS And there is no such thing as "one of the great boy sopranos of his generation". :-) He was A boy soprano. France alone has dozens of choirs with hundreds of talented boys in them. Some sing higher than Aube. Some sing more beautifully. Aube got MUCH more exposure through PCCB touring, especially in Korea where it was widely televized. But "one of the best", sorry, no. PPS I'm not saying he's worse than anyone. Just all boy sopranos are THE SAME. Some sweeter, some louder, some higher. Check out Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc, they have amazing soloists.
I too love Baudoins voice. The young man deserves his privacy in life, but I would be interested in knowing how he is doing and if he is still singing.
I certainly agree. My 14yo son is head choir boy and I thank the good Lord for each and every day he is able to maintain his treble voice. It will, indeed, be a sad day for our family when his voice breaks. However, the future will provide us with many talented boys to carry on this fine tradition.

As the remaining 3rd depart I also spare a thought for Baudoin. I do so wish that I could have met him just once and personally thanked him for all he wonderful musical moments he has given. He was the "super soloist" of his generation with Les Petit Chanteurs a la Croix de Bois (PCCB)!
Little did the many fans of Baudoin realise this performance was to be his last with Les Petit Chanteurs a la Croix de Bois. When they returned to a france and the Christmas holiday period was over Baudoin commenced at a new school . His singing will be missed but I am sure all his fans wish him well in his future life !

Apart from a wonderful voice he has a certain undefinable stage presence and to me has always performed with the utmost certainty and confidence in the strength of his voice.

Simply thank and praise God for what has passed, and then for what it is to come. Your son will surely continue to be a blessing to others, even after "his voice breaks." ; )
Baudouin moved to a new school right after he had finished Korean tour for concerts. When I heard this shocking news through hos Fan page, I was a bit disappointed to him of not continuing courses in pccb until his upcoming graduation dated in June. I have been suffering from depression cause of the thoughts I would never be able to hear his beautiful celestial voices and songs again. But I changed my mind to think about other reasons he took a chance to go to non_ conservatory.

It would have been so nice to see Baudoin there with his fellow classmates but alas it was not to be. I was gladdened however to see a photo taken at a football (soccer) match only recently where Baudoin was with his fellow 3rd.
Yes Bill I think we all expected Baudoin to stay till July when he would finish his 3rd but for whatever reasons this did not come to pass. I too hope that his departure from the Little Singers is not the end to his singing career.
You might well be right but I would have thought that Baudouin would not move to his new school until the end of the current school year which finishes around about 6th July and then move to a new school after the summer holidays in early September? Whatever I hope to hear much more of him.
