------ Gato - American special premium Tier X submarine. The U.S. Navy High Command conceived that "fleet submarines" were to complement the sluggish conventional battleships. With a high surface speed, heavy armament, and long operational range, they were supposed to conduct reconnaissance and finish off enemy ships once artillery duels between battleships ceased. However, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, their strategy changed, and a new type-Gato-was geared for extended patrols. Comfortable for their crews, these submarines carried a large fuel supply and torpedoes. USS Gato was laid down in October 1940 and commissioned in December 1941. The submarine conducted thirteen combat missions, earning the same number of battle stars and the Presidential Unit Citation.

yeah, i bet the real sailors during world war 2 said the same thing while going against subs, also u can hunt and destroy subs pretty easily, well i suppose u just need to know how to go against subs, maybe check a youtube video on "how to anti sub" instead of complaining. If matchmaking puts u in a terrible team then yeah cant help it.

I really seem to struggle with playing submarines and while I only have the German tier 8 and the UK tier 6 ones (non-premium), it just makes it hard for me to play especially since I get almost immediately detected

Both undine and u 69 has very good conceal how do you get spotted easly? I have i 56 which has a 7.1km conceal and i barely spotted through the whole game

this guy is actually really good, using homing torpedoes at close range, keeping his distance
the only improvement would be to try to ping between the enemy rear and centre, as they can't emergency stop to dodge the homing torpedoes then
obviously the lack of enemy destroyers, submarines and CV's enabled him to basically chicken shoot all those battleships, the cruisers also didn't much of a good effort to surpress him with sonar either
