- Welcome back folks! In this video TonytheBlade joins the Mercenary Sub-faction. This video will follow all the initiation quests to join the Mercenaries. They finally opened up all the locked ones so I jumped on and joined as fast as I could so I could get you guys the video on all the Sub-faction quests. For the Fox's Squad quest step pick "I'm here for an order" then "for a clan" and then I picked "the Blessed" but that was WRONG... since he's a stalker im guessing he hates the Mercs and Cov's and nobody likes the Soldiers... so the right option must be the "the Orderlies"

As of 3/9/23 mercs now have a 10% item extraction add on currently, I was able to finally join up this morning after 2 weeks since I'm a former merc up until now
Yeah I saw that when I logged in today, i guess Covenant outnumber Mercs now lol

Hope mercs are still open for recruits when i get there.. my favorite faction from the stalker games is UNISG. but mercs have always been a strong second and definetly my first choice by a long shot in stalcraft.
brah i like Anomaly/GAMMA/EFT as much as the next guy, but dude, don´t go around saying UNISG is a legit Stalker faction... It´s Fanfic tier lmao. Still a good Faction tho, if a little mary sue.
@@Eladnav1 Main reason i like em is because their main quest on anomaly is so good imo.. i mean it's hard AF cause everyone kills you on sight except for mercs.. but it really forces you to play the spy game and i loved that shit.

@@sadanbarakovic7318 i would tell you the same, but judging by your post you likely will soon. Fan is a strong word, i personally prefer things like Oblivion Lost/Lost Alpha, but nothing beats the original games. ya git.
Man I just found out today that running the pit only gets you to bar 4. I was wondering why I hadn't leveled in a long time. Lol

@@MaximumAggro it was working in the dead city today. Can I only get so far there also? Bad part is I spent about 3 days farming the pit. At least I got my val crafted lol
@@_Brando_69 might be fools path idk. tbf if you just stay near the baes and dont stray too far you should have no trouble compared to dead city theres just so much stuff trying to kill you

Hi, I'm just wondering if u can make a video explaining everything about artifacts, bc I don't know hot to use that section and I'm already at the 10,000 power with a lot of artifacts and all of that things, it's hard to find a really good video of that and sorry if my english it's not too good, thanks anyways:)
I will be eventually but I have to learn the ins and outs of them myself first as I am just now starting to dabble in them

@@MaximumAggro hahaha, my best tip could be use more the sniper than the AR bc if u miss u can move and shoot from other place, but on a 1v1 face to face if u miss u are dead, and use a silencer, I have the SD silencer and the M40A4 +5 with a x8 visor, really op tbh
The sight lines in red forest are pretty short though so I never see people far away.
Hey Aggro I really enjoy Stalcraft but after finishing the Free Stalkers playthrough of the story line the North PvP is so draining. I hate how its forced upon you and has little room for RP. I am going back to my Bandit in hopes of joining the mercs but far behind in terms of both main quest and grinding in general. Any advice for dealing with the Bar/North? I try to avoid players as much as possible but its really burning me out.
As someone who plays almost exclusively solo I feel you, I am farming Red Forest as we speak and its just a pain in the ass. I wish I could give you good advice here but the only thing that will make it not as shitty is by running the North as a group. get a max squad if you can IMO. At least that way if someone kills you in all likely hood they will die right after and you can get your stuff back.
@@MaximumAggro Couple of my friends started playing. Only one has consistently ran with me to around the same level. My other 2 buddies fell behind and it was funny explaining to them how they were going to see more advanced players because of us. Kinda turned them off from the game. The main gripe my friends have is how SC is a massive running simulator. I will say running through Agroprom or The Dark Valley to try and get to the bar is pretty tiring lol. its literally a paved road without any danger just holding W forever and ever. just whack game design. game needs fast travel or some similar. maybe if they make access to Pripyat or whatever they will do they can make fast travel possible

Nice. I'm not sure how the north would work. I think we can still group, but I can't attack other covenants, but they would attack you. If anyone knows in the comments let me know.

also i wish that either a stalker or bandit can join either of the 4 factions but i get why they would want to seperate it like that
Edit: I like how the Mercenaries are known for killing people who fail/piss them off yet Lech is like meh ill save my beer the guy who can pick up the tracker can fetch it if they need it so badly.
Also i think you are suppose to tell Fox you work with an organisation, to make him talk with you more and not mention mercenaries in any way shape or form

So if the mercs are not open just stay a bandit till they are. Online there is a lot of talk that most covenant people are hacking, don´t want to get associated with that.
There are posts I have read that there are lots of Bandits/Stalkers in general hacking, people are going to accuse others regardless of what their factions are so I wouldn't base my decision on that. I have only ran into 1 person who I thought "may" have been hacking and they were a Merc (Will not name any names since I have no proof and am not even totally sure they were hacking). But most people playing online games these days call hacks with no evidence to support their claims. I am by no means saying people who play this game dont hack, but I am very hesitant to call them a hacker unless I have hard proof and video of them doing it.
When I went to sign up today I noticed it says exclusive armor or something like that. Does that just mean if you craft an armor it will have a skin on it for that faction?
From what I can tell that armor will come later, I dont think its in the game yet.

@@MaximumAggro man I got within 100 meters of Iceman today and the ping goes off for a player. Look over and he's passing me so I just let him pass the second I turn around to keep going he melts me. So sad. I'm about to get back on and try again. Can't sleep anyways
@@_Brando_69 I think that may just happen when you join but the Unique armor is an actual piece that looks like some of the NPCs I think
@@_Brando_69 Yeah I have stopped trying to let people live, I dont care if they crouch spam I am shooting them. Had one crouch spam the other day and I crouch spammed back, turned to loot something and they shot me in the back.
I have a question, do you need to have 100 rads bar unlocked to get into the mercenaries faction?
Yup, the guy who gives you the option to join subfactions is down in 100 rads

It may be a little bit, I am having to take a break from the gun videos while I farm up at least the Kingpin armor and maybe the Skat-9 armor. I have put it off for too long and can feel how lacking the Story Exo is for certain things I am trying to do. I still need to make the RPD gun video as well then the M1A will be after that one.

Once I finish upgrading my armor to at minimum Kingpin maybe skat9. Had to take a little break from gun videos so I don't fall so far behind on armor that it becomes a problem. But I will be making all the guns.

Its honestly pretty even, there are technically more Stalkers but farming isn't hard on either faction. There are assholes on both sides as well as nice people on both sides. Just join whichever side you like the sub-factions of IMO

Bro... please, ffs, do some captioning or something if you fuck up. This is the second time you've fucked me over because I am following along and you give some important ass details right after... Some captioning before hand would also be nice like "Choices in this dialog". Literally takes 10 seconds to throw some text up on screen.
This is a 9 month old video, I try to preface things now in videos when there are choices that need to be made differently than what is showing on the screen.

Sadly nope. Unless you rejoin cov you have to pay the money
