Great approch, it allows for developing of a race and fleshs them out. But, you can apply diffrent level of "attention" without having to over develop an element that never comes up or impacts the story.
While I understand that a majority of the work a writer/creator does, doesn't get seen by the reader/viewer/player. But knowing this information, as you pointed out, creats a more believable world. It creates a living, function, tangable environment. Even if only in our imaginations. Further, assuming you continue to utilize the world, what may be inconsequential this time, may be the catalyst for your next story.

Glad to hear it was easy to digest and get value from. And yes, while there is always the risk of overdoing things when it comes to worldbuilding for a project, it certainly is indisputable - in my humble opinion - that some effort put into things that aren't necessary seen by the audience remains a worthy cause as the overall experience is likely to be much better for the target audience.

Something that I feel deserves a mention is how the race reproduces, as it's the core function of adaptation in our world and barring guided mutations will likely be the primary factor even in fantasy. Naturally there's no need to go knee-deep into the sticky friction aspect, but rather consider how things like mating rituals and strategies can both influence and be influenced by all the items listed in the video.
If for instance you're making a plant-based race, what would it mean if they used other races to cross-pollinate over long distances? Having a pleasant countenance and friendly attitude would be favorable traits, as would being able to provide some kind of good or service that would entice people to seek them out. This can take the form of a knowledge of herbs or the surrounding lands, some innate function like sap that lures or repels beasts, or even plain and simple companionship after days spent traveling the wilderness. They might be heavily shaped by the people of these races they meet rather than having a culture of their own if they rarely if ever get chances to interact with their own kind. Do they raise their young or simply scatter them to the four winds like dandelions? If the former, how would they move as civilizations wax and wane?

These are some great insights / thoughts shared here, absolutely. If I don't remember incorrectly, I should have mentioned reproduction somewhere but it probably could or maybe should have gotten a bit more attention.
If I left it out completely somehow, then that was an oversight on my end - because I fully agree, this is a vital topic that doesn't have to be overdone but at least needs some attention :)

While I am not one to judge a book by its cover, and I have liked, sorry LOVED the content and how it is presented, I can;t help but think the thumbnail was a bit creepy(completely subjective) so maybe some traditional/colorful ones would make it more appealing? I'm a writer who is into design so I thought I should let you know
Besides that, I hope your channel grows and flourishes and you have fun doing it! Cheers mate!

Appreciate the feedback, thank you. I'm actually in the process of expanding my skill set regarding thumbnails as well currently. So as of the next video, I'll experiment a bit with new variations to see what reasonates with an audience focused around the content I make. Hoping these will be more pleasing for you again then :)
