Plenary on Research, Evidence, and Storytelling: Storytelling as Evidence

In this session, three leading voices weave together a conversation on research, evidence building, and storytelling. They discuss the inequities and power dynamics in current research structures about youth and explore ways to ensure that storytelling is a valued part of evidence building in communities. This session asks us to think about what we know and how we know it. The presenters provide solutions on how we can ensure that youth research and knowledge is not extractive, but instead built collectively, from the beginning of the process with, by and for youth, anchored not in their deficits, but in their strength and assets.
