Great job. It’s so satisfying working on your own bike. Torque wrench and workshop manual are must haves. You can then tackle anything knowing if you get into trouble there are loads of very helpful and knowledgeable people in the Harley community who will come to your aid. Stay safe and thanks for keeping us entertained in these dark times.

Well done with the new blacked out forks. They look great. And good luck with the new Sportster, when you get it. Stay healthy and fingers crossed we’ll all be out riding again soon, before the good weather goes!

When applying the wrap, just wrap a small strip about 1/4 inch wide around top & bottom first to stop you from leaving a chrome gap, then wrap round you're main piece overlapping those small strips slightly. I bought some from Ebay & it came with that instructions to do that, gives a nice completefinish. I used my thumbs to squeeze the air out as I went round the fork, but whatever works best for you.

That little bit of chrome showing is fine. It looks good to me. Nicely done.

Very good video. I love that you’re including the manual specs instead of just slapping it together with an impact or till it “feels tight enough.” I don’t know if it’s just an old wives tale, but I’ve always heard to never loosen fasteners with a torque wrench or use it as a standard ratchet as it will mess up the calibration. I don’t know the truth to that claim and I’m sure a high quality tool makes a big difference to that, but I always keep a breaker bar handy for that purpose. Other than that, great video.

Great job mate. I have always wanted to do stuff like this, but have been so scared i messed it up. Gives me confidence to see you doing it with real time honest feedback. Was always curious how the forks lined up again to accept the wheel once they have been put back into the trees and pinched up? Great job looking forward to the new bike videos.

Hi mark . This is not a criticism . did you use a Torque wrench to undo your brake caliper . Never use torque wrench to use to undo bolts .your damage it .and your torque specs will be out when you come to use it next ..... 🇬🇧🇬🇧👍

Would you have considered marking off the forks when you had them off and adding the vinyl then? Could potentially ensure you cover the entire area that will be showing and give you easier application process? Just wondering for when I do it, appreciate it!

Oy, mate, I might have missed that in a video, but fyi, every time you undo any of the upper or lower fork bracket bolts, YOU MUST MEASURE AND READJUST STEERING HEAD FALLAWAY. Otherwise you're at risk of high speed instability (wobble) especially taking into account your custom handlebars. Take care.

Owned plenty of bikes and I always find it easier to leave the wheel, caliper as fender intact and just slip the front end out as a unit. There was no reason for most of the labor you did. All you needed to do was gain access to the fork tubes to slip on the gators.
