i have the same mask, its not possible to make diy animated ones, however if you go into the one that has a picture of a picture instead of the diy one, you can scroll down and they have an animated boywithuke eyes that blink and look around
you have to hold down the power button for 3 seconds or until it shows the battery symbol on the mask. if that doesn't work, then make sure to charge it

there is no specific size that you need, if it doesn't work then maybe it was just too small of an aspect ratio, or too big
