I just brought one of these home yesterday! Everything I've read says they are defensive and skittish...every video I have seen they are as calm as can be. Mine is probably only i3. I can't wait for this thing to grow! Beautiful spider.
Hello am loving your work on UA-cam just thinking do you know good places to find the 6 eye sand spider 🕸 in or around Africa 🌍 all the best buddy thanks
bugsnstuff do you ever collect any wild tarantulas for breeding projects? I heard sometimes its necessary to add new blood because some species are highly in captivity. At least from what I've heard.
It's that cyriopagopus sp. Sulawesi black (north/mid sulawesi)? Founded 2012 with 2 another species cryriopagopus sp. Hati hati (south sulawes) cyriopagopus sp sumatran tiger? Im tarantula keepers from indonesia. But now, i dont know the species name changed or not
Hey lads. Different species but I just bought a 3” lampropelma nigerrimum “Sangihe island black”. It looks to have a faint tiger stripe abdomen and a cream carapace. I’m thinking it’s the wrong species bc it’s not all black or are these possibly juvenile colours. Let me know if youve got any idea about this. It’s looking like some cyriopagopus to me. Thanks!
@@bugsnstuff thank you so much for the reply, even two years after the upload. Really says a lot. I’m curious because I bought a sling recently and I loved the idea of having a ten inch, jet black beast
Looks actactly like my C pagunus same makeing an all Except for the extra pads on there frount legs an my C pagunus is a terrestrial likes to make a burrow,
How are you guys able to determine gender so easily? The tiny abdomens and long front legs on some of those made me think they looked like males and I know a lot of keepers can’t tell until they have a molt to look at.

Awesome spiders and they breed easy in captivity so no need to poach them from nature
Beautiful species!

Could be an immature male?
Was the last specimen around maximum size? I’m asking because I’ve heard females can reach nearly ten inches
Although large, we can't say whether or not it was fully grown.

Amazing!
My all time favorite genus - Phormingochilus. Carpenteri is highest on my wishlist and I have a few of them on their way.
beautiful spider
Aren't you afraid handling a wild spider like that isn't going to bite you
Most spiders settle down when out of their retreats.
I have a female in my collection with a leg span about 22cm.
Looks actactly like my C pagunus same makeing an all
