I thought I was the one to experience this as their first anime thanks to late night showings of Manga anime on UK Channel 4. This and Devilman. Glad to see there are others 😊
Same here. This anime is legendary and sorely underrated. I just wish the manga it's based on would come off hiatus and get a proper ending. I don't even care if it's good or not at this point, so long as it ACTUALLY ENDS.
I had vague memories of this anime from when I watched it late at night 20 years ago. Couldn’t remember the name or anything more then the blade that comes out of the elbow of the suit and a particular scene Spoiler that was especially brutal where a girl close to him gets killed in a way that just stuck with me for years. It was my first time seeing anything like that and it messed with my child brain for sure haha
I love Bio-Booster Armor Guyver it was my first taste of Anime and I’ve never looked back. Thanks Segewa for uploading the original series, this show has a special place in my heart and helped direct my path into fandom. Guyver is also a perfect IP to be developed into a movie or TV series in my opinion.We haven’t had anything since Solid Snake himself (David Hayter) donned the suit back in 1994. I thought that at the time was heading in the right direction after the abysmal Mark Hamill Guyver film.

Also it was impossible to buy it ligal. And no one shared my love to the Guyver. Also I didnt have episodes after 7, so I get know what was in 8-12 episodes only when internet appeared.
Same feeling bro. I first watched episode 7 too 😂. It was recorded on VHS tape after some movie. Then I found one guy who had 1-6 episodes. Years after one neighbor showed me 8-12. This anime was so good that I had to collect episodes one by one for years 🤣

omg i finally found it, i was looking for this show since the 90s. I remember the transformation of that monster in the intro, but that was it. I asked my uncle what this show was back in the day and he said " it's cartoons for grown ups" and I thought it was cool because of that. It was more creepy and violent than normal western cartoons and it came on late at night. I believe it was around 1996 when I saw it. Thanks for uploading

@@Kas58223the 12 episode series covers the first 5 volumes of the manga but inbtroduces team 5 early, the 2005 series covers the first 10 volumes of the manga though it expands book 1 events so guyver 2 gets to stay around a lot longer

I didn't know about Guyver until 2001. This came out in the 80s and the movies came in the 90s. And I still didn't know about Guyver. It's still cool watching him in 2020 though.

The guyver armor it's like a combination of the Iron Man armor and Venom symbiote. Only three of those armors were ever found on Earth on the alien ship that was buried somewhere deep in Japan. I'm guessing the ship those armors came from have been in Japan since before the samurai age.
The alien race that created them created all symbol of life, a biological arms race to evolve and create the ultimate killing machine, however with humanity when their biological armor combined with homosapiens they lost the control psychic link meaning they were relentless engines of destruction , literally out of control. Only a Unit-Remover could disable them.

And if you're really getting technical... November to February is three whole months. I imagine the idea was floating around the aether in general. And there's no proving who came up with the idea first.
