I’m sad a lot of people didn’t like this movie!!! I thought it was so funny like the others and I have to disagree that Martin’s character was right on brand with who he used to be in the other two movies, I mean 17 years yeah he’s a dad and wants to be around for family it completely made sense for him to wanna settle down and I dunno I just loved this ALL! Especially Will finding out about his son it was just perfect to me and it’s my favorite Bad Boys film

No they definitely nerfed his character in the 2nd and 3rd movie. Yeah he wanted to be the family man and yes he could still be the more comedic guy. But he could still be cool like he was in the first one. Instead they let Will get all the cool stuff. That’s what the first movie did better

This movie shoulda been called Bad Boy (I'm Mike Lowrey). It was all out him. Martin Lawrence was like a cameo role and made him look a lil too silly. Be real, was Lawrence's character really needed? Will Smith even stole the spotlight at the wedding scene smdh! Nah, this was a sad movie. Martin Lawrence deserves more credit! Oh yeah, if you Google Bad Boys and click on cast, Martin isn't at the top, but way at the bottom 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
Martin gave the speech at the bar, he had the prayer scene and was seen taking care of Mike after Mike got shot, he had a big grieving moment at his house after Captain Howard was killed, he saved Mike from getting shot by Armando on the helicopter, he had the funny scene on the airplane and most of the funny lines, he took out more guys than Will did, including the helicopter pilot, in the final shootout, and he beat up La Bruja. Martin definitely had a lot more to do in this movie than in the second one.

Man I was let down by this movie. They should’ve kept Joe Carnahan. It was mediocre at best. Martin had nothing to do. He was pretty much worthless aside from making quips. The other movies he actually shoots bad guys. He shoots what a couple in the last fight in this movie?? Bad Boys 2 is by far the best in the trilogy.
