I guess when you have the luxury of having a caddie do all the ground work for you, think helps heaps. What about the influence of the grain in the grass?
Thank you for writing in Nick. Caddies can definitely help, as long as you’re both on the same page! Grain does of course have a great effect on reading putts. We plan to produce a separate video on reading grain in due course.
Brilliant Glen. A Top vide. I enjoy putting and this video will help for sure. Interesting to hear you don't use a line on your ball to line up your putt. Keep up the great work.
Thank you Joe. I’ve tried using a line but found it distracting and often looks different when addressing the ball. Someone did a study and found it adversely affected speed control for many golfers. I think it’s a good drill for practice and realise many Tour Pro’s use a line. However, it takes time, shouldn’t be allowed and is bad for the game! Soapbox rant over! 🤣
@@AussieGolfPros No, no Glen, I am with you. I stopped using a line a while ago as I was concentrating too much on lining up the ball, I forgot everything else LOL 😂😂
@@AussieGolfPros It's always seemed strange to me that you can draw a line on to your own ball but the manufacturers aren't allowed to make them with one - it's like the rules department couldn't make up its mind whether a line should be allowed or not! Personally I completely agree with you.
Excellent video Glen.
Thanks Sounav. 🙏
Your vides are great Glen, thanks

Please redo the video in full sun, the shadows on the green are confusing.
Sorry about that Dan. Will definitely have more green reading videos for you in the near future. Thanks for watching.

The worst part of my game 🙈
Shame Vik. Hopefully, these principles can help you turn this into a strength!
