This is an art protest performance, well thought in every detail, even Croatians didnt understand it at first , but after solving the puzzle that this performance is , i have to say its a masterpiece....lots and lots of hidden meaning , visual , music and in any other possible way
@@ESCTom No, they already did everything they needed to with this performance. I wouldn't be surprised if they do something much crazier and, at first glance, more senseless at Eurovision. Judging them by Eurovision criteria is very wrong.
It's very true that Balkan crazy is different to any other kind of crazy. But I think that this song has potential to do well with the Slav countries, because the sense of humour translates better, plus the song hits harder if you don't need subtitles
I usually don't watch Eurovision , but I will definitely watch it this time because of this song. Huge plus IMHO that they choose not to sing in English.
@@ESCTom Mamma, tractor, moron, armageddon, psychopath, ŠČ. IT works for me. So refreshing as most of the songs are alike. You hear them, but you forget them within 10 min.

Great presentation Tom!! This can go BIG if they do some right polishing as you stated. The LED screens are fab. This could be a televote magnet. I hope Croatia do their job and this will qualify.
@@ESCTom if they manage to qualify, this could easily do Top 10, look at Hatari 2019 and Konstrata and Moldovia last year. Or they do a Midnight Gold, Georgia 2016, they became 20th in the Final
it's about ukraine. both nations are trapped under dictatorship, one way or another, with no any common sense or willing to done anything toward piece.
Meaning of song: Putin recently received a tractor from Lukashenko for his birthday. In short, Mother Russia loves a moron - Putin - a little crocodile psychopath, who threatens armageddon, for which the little man goes to war. That's roughly how Let3 see it lyrically, the only ones on the Croatian scene who sang in a symbolic and sarcastic way about Russian aggression, which is shaping the fate of Europe. Recently, in one of the interviews, when they appeared in a TV studio with rockets with "Lenin" written on them, they said that Putin is "an example of a braggart who thinks the planet is his toy." The main singer symbolizes Stalin, while the bald man with the inscription "Ninle" is a symbol of Lenin (Nin - le = Le - nin).
People want a commercial song with shallow lyrics and easily digestible music for wide audiences. This is not that kind of thing. This is not what people want to hear but what people need to hear. This is an artistic masterpiece. This is an opera (think Bohemian Rhapsody melos). It doesn't try to appeal to the to masses, it is painting you a picture, it is conveying a message. It talks about a war, that's why it's messy but beautifully orchestrated. Its almost permanent crescendo, the camera work and lighting conveys the chaos of war and what the insanity and reality of war is while its lyrics speak about the absurdity of it. The absurdity and irony is also apparent in the costumes and choreography which immediately tells you that we've already been trough this. The world already knows this, but we're still going or are in another one as if we haven't learnt anything from the history. Also the costume he wears is supposed to show you the real face of the person capable of starting a war. It is showing how that psychopath looks if we could see his psyche and his mind like we can see his nice Italian suit when we look at him. It's an eyeopening song that is just point out the obvious. And they are not in it to win, I personally think they just want to prove the absurdity of todays humanity because if they loose which they said they will it means people can't see the obvious even when you point it out clearly, and it shows why we are at the place we are today and even today we can't understand the obvious so we can expect the same tragic things in the future. A nicely groomed psychopath commanding everyone to go to war and the people (the audience) not understanding what he is and blindly following. They rip off the clothes and he's shiny inside meaning he's showing you the reality, he has good intention. As opposed to be in an Italian suit from the outside but rotten from the inside. He is giving you a clear vision, he's essentially giving you a Eurovision. An absolute masterpiece!
the message is very important, but i know that they will have to change the performance in order for the EBU to let them perform it. im sure they can still get the message across, even if they need to remove some things
This is actually really intelligent and professional review, thanks from Croatia :) Hope Croatian delegation will take your advice to adjust this entry for ESC
Something in me just thinks this will qualify. It's not a joke, and I feel like the general military vibe, the missiles, etc, serve somewhat to put that across.
Great review Tom, I m definitely all for this song being in the final, it really is needed, and in fact my favourite entry so far. So far there has not been one song this year I even want to hear again or download (OK, maybe Denmark). Although this entry from Croatia I also cannot see myself listening to over and over, it is absolutely wonderful and should be storming on the night. LOVE IT!
yea i think some people get so focused on the music aspect and dont realise that the visual part is a huge part as well. every year i had songs i dont download but absolutely love the performance, Australia with KMH, Spain this year, Hungary in 2018 etc
ESC Tom - Consider LET 3 as Monty Payton on the music scene. These guys literally fire corks from their asses during concerts and fight on courts for the liberty of art expression. At the same time they have been on the top charts for at least 20 years
oh wow 20 years! see when you know that, then you know that they are a proper group. the problem is that the normal Eurovision viewer tunes in, they dont know whether they have been together for 1 song or for 20 years, so this is why its important for Let 3 to get across that they are a real legitimate band quite early in the performance.
You have to see it from their perspective: they don't care about Eurosong or who will like them or hate them. They use artistic expression to invoke questions in people. Now they want to make fun of Putin and his military regime. That repetitive part of the song is so they can march and salute like nazis which they twist in a gag of driving tractors. And that is a part that is important to them as artists. They are not interested in money, fame or whatever Eurosong can give them in return for a "nice & clean performance". They are real men in fashion drag queen uniforms made by designers. This a reminder that every dictator employed the most excellent available designer of their time to create uniforms for his army. Actually, these guys are on the scene from the late 70s. But for the last 20 years, their hits hit the top 5 every time.
EŠĆ Tom - they always been subversive, provocative Rock & Troll band with scandalous live performances,They said in the interview:"If they don't alow us to do it our way, we shall go back home!"(of course, on tractor!) 😜They are very conventional here in comparation with their usual standards.
I have no idea what the hell is going on but it has me hooked. Crazy is an understatement so i guess this one is gonna either crash or burn...i don't really care either way but for entertainment value it's up there. It's gonna add to the Eurovision experience for sure and for that we should be positive. I am super curious to see what will happen.
Tractor is a reference to Lukashenko's birthday present to Putin. In the song Putin is described as a "vile little psychopath", the vocalist represents Stalin, and the guy with rockets has NINLE on his forhead (wordplay:Nin-Le=Lenin). Mama ŠČ is a metaphor for Mother Russia, and crocodile is a drug popular in Russia that makes people act like zombies. The meaning of the lyrics is kinda obvious now: "Mama bought a tractor" "Mama (meaning Russia) loved a moron (meaning Putin)" "That little psychopath (W-w-war, war) Little, vicious psychopath (W-w-war, war) Crocodile psychopath (W-w-war, war) Mama, I'm going to war" The whole thing is trolling Putin level 100000.
@@ESCTom I think they will though. Removing the song will be considered political, not removing the song would also be political, so either way they can't win. They'll just have to play blind on this one.
they normally confirm songs immediately. they didnt confirm czechia likely because they were having a discussion with them behind the scenes about changing some of the lyrics.
Daniel, i would guess that the EBU are likely discussing with them behind the scenes about how to keep the song but changing some lyrics or parts of the staging to make it less political
Very good! All points well made. Your reaction is the most objective and overall the best reaction to Mama ŠČ I’ve seen so far. And unfortunately I’ve seen some…
There's a lot of contrast in this song. You have simplicity, which, I have no doubt, is a deliberate choice; it feels like a children's song and the lyrics are about a kid who thinks that war is a game and his mom loves him so much that she supports him in launching a war. And opposed to this is the part of song which is chaos, the real world in which war is actually mayhem and tragedy and incites reptilian/crocodile behavior. It's rather intelligent on many levels.
yea i can see how that could be the musical metaphor, and if you're right, it is indeed clever. but i think 99% of people watching arent going to get that metaphor so they do need to be conscious of the fact that everyone is only going to listen to this once and not get that
Traktor symbolises the gift Lukashenko gave to Putin for his 70th birthday Nona menas granny As for the crocodile, I believe it was Boris Johnson who said that fighting Puton is like fighting a crocodile
Artists react to war. Before WWII Charlie Chaplin made movie. The Great Dictator. Look at Globe Scene, with sensitive music. This is at the same track but more up to 21st cent . It is part of future anti-war rock opera. Every scene has several meanings. Eurovision is perfect platform for artists.
This is the best reaction I've seen of this. Maybe bring some of the inventive parts forward to the start. It's not that it's just a serious song, it's very inventive when it gets going.
thanks tony. yea i think they need to do something in the first 15-20 seconds that quickly gets across that this is FUN but serious and that they are a legit group. i dont know how they do that, but theyve a lot of time to plan it
@@ESCTom Plenty of time. They're an established act and clearly have a lot of ideas so a slight revamp to increase the impact at the start is well within their grasp.
Hmmm... it helps when, as you do, one delves a bit more into the meaning of the song. My first reaction was that it was as bad as "Leto svet", but there is more behind it and they have some good ideas (especially the LED-background). It's actually more like "A luta é alegria": quite intelligent stuff. Will this be enough though? At first hearing I just hear "mama" and "traktor" and musically it's, I can't say otherwise, just noise to me. I fear for Croatia that this will not be understood.
As usual, Tom, with such entries, you see the point, you saw potential in Moldova 2022 and i agreed on it, you see it now, televote will do this so great, really can be like moldova 2022 I mean, they were not allowed to bring tractor to stage but they arrived on it, also they already have 1 million views and only 3 000 dislikes to 10 000 likes which is great, i thought more eurofans will go and try dislike it, but they didnt
honestly, juries are absolutely notorious for penalising these types of song. but there is no jury in the semis this year, so they dont need to worry about that
In addition to referencing modern day Russia, I like how it references the Stalin/Cold War era, especially in the music video with the images of Kulaks and rural farmers that were oppressed, hence the 'Traktor' part!
well if croatia dissapiers in a mushroom shape smoke ovr night, you know why and by who.... pray fpr us hahaahha roflmao johnson refered to putin as a crocodile once.... btw let 3 is so controversial, so provocative, since 1987 , they shot bottel corks from their behinds, all sorts of things, they sold completly blank cd called unheared...
Crocodil drugs (also known as Krokodil, the Russian for crocodile) is the street name of desomorphine, a pain-killing drug derived from codeine with ten times the strength of morphine.
ah someone else mentioned it was because of a quote from boris johnson "How can you deal with a crocodile when it's in the middle of eating your left leg?" is the quote

Well done on this review Tom Lets be honest here though. Is this entry "musically worthy".....er.....NO! Is this entry "lyrically worthy"?.....again......NO! But there is something Eurovision Noughties about this entry and shock/horror, I'm kinda here for it......well, i think i am! A winner in Liverpool?... Of course not and wouldn't even come into the discussion but in a televote semifinal, I wouldn't dismiss qualification prospects. It's bright, it's lively and staging will be batshit crazy. The Croatian public loved it.( It won Dora in a relative landslide) so why not Europe.....we shall see.......or will we? Can the EBU allow lyrical content like this, I'm not so sure.....Georgia 2009 seemed a lot more subtle than this and was excluded. Personally I hope we see this in Liverpool. It will definitely be a wakey, wakey moment! 😊😊👏
Hello Eurovision, I think you just got served. Classic Let 3, provoking a reaction and sending a strong message that will most surely go under radar by the unintelligent ones. This is an anti-Putin song with a pinch of Eurovision-mocking spice... Serving meaningful chaos, unlike war in Ukraine (or Eurovision)...
An interesting take Tom. :) I think the first part is supposed to be flat and empty. I would say it represents brainwashed soldiers. To me it is a similar effect like Pink Floyd did in their song Another brick in the wall (of course, I am not comparing them to Pink Floyd). :D
yea i can see how that is a suitable metaphor, but realistically i dont know if it works with an audience that doesnt know who they are or understand whats going on. the semis are watched by more diehard fans, so maybe they will sit through this regardless of whether they think that the beginning is flat or not
Tractor is a reference to Lukashenko's birthday gift for Putin. In the song, Putin is described as "little vile psychopath". The vocalist represents The great dictator while other guy has written on his head NJINLE (word game: LENIN). Mother ŠČ is a metaphor for mother Russia because it represents their letter щ. Johnson once referred to Putin calling him a crocodile but also it is a drug popular in Russia that makes people behave like zombies.
Tractor is reference to 'Belarus' tractors that were made in 50's and 60's. Mama is reference to Russia. Mama bought a tractor - Russia bought Belarus. Don't copy anything that someone who knows nothing wrote just to get some likes.
It is important to remember - we love the Russian people, their culture, tradition, art, literature, but we do not like their politicians, communism and war. Croatia does not only mock those who incite war, but also our Western civilization. If we haven't already made it to the finals with top-notch vocals and songs that were often better than the winning ones, now we're sending a parody/satire. In any case - they will DEFINITELY be noticed!😂 The complete opposite of those who want to look beautiful, well-dressed, young and sexy on stage.

Thanks for that Emilia I think the crocodile thing is more a reference to a quote from Boris about how negociating with Putin is like talking to a crocodile who is currently eating your leg. And also a type of heavy drug in russia called Crocodile
In ex Yu was a very popular Belarusian-made tractor. That's how it was called: "Belarus". For us almost "boomers" (and this group also includes performers), this is the first and very strong association. Only after that the gift to Putin and the fact that Lukashenko was a tractor driver by profession.

Mama = Motherland (Mother Russia) ŠČ = Slavic/Russian alphabet letter representation ("Z" reference) Tractor: Putin got one for his 70th from Lukashenko, president of Belarus, also a reference to any army vehicle Moron = Putin/Dictator Crocodile Psychopath: Boris Johnson compared Putin to a crocodile, also a "zombie" street drug reportedly widely used in Russia and "crocodile tears" Mama loved/supported a moron, now he is waging war. Lead singer has Stalin mustache (also a reference to dictators in general) and the one with missiles, dressed like Rasputin, has Lenin written on his forehead. Drag military outfits - taunting Putin (and all conservatives) for his views of LGBTQ+ community Nothing about this song or the performance is accidental, it has a strong anti-war message. Brilliant!

It's foolish of you to ignore the fact that Serbia is pro Russia oriented and has always been- I'm not saying all Serbs are like that, specially the normal, informed people who understand how politics work. The fact is that Serbia is trying to stay 'neutral' towards Russia, but the rest of the Europe is not diggin' it, so to say Cro was pro Hitler and that is the reason you find the song terrible, girl, you need to understand the history a bit better to be that one-sided (and I'm not defending ustashe nor am I liking the partizans, It was a terrible time to live in). this reminds me of polish punk rock scene artists - singing about social and political issues - I guess its more meaningful in a context of Croatian audience - unfortunately this won't translate into international palate
Deep explanation of the song: "Mama kupila traktora🚜 ŠČ" "Mother bought a tractor🚜 Щ" (Mother = Mother Russia) (Lukashenko gifting a tractor to Putin for his 70th birthday, also Belarus is a popular tractor in Belarus which means that 🇷🇺 bought 🇧🇾) The Cyrillic letter Shcha Щ was derived from the Glagolitic (Croatian script) letter Shta Ⱋ. Also the sum of letters Š and Č gives Z (25+4=29) in Croatian alphabet, and Z is a military symbol used by Russians to mark their military vehicles in Ukraine. "Trajna-nina armagedon nona" (Trajna-nina - Permanent sleep in Croatian) "Trayna-nina armageddon granny" (Nuclear armageddon threat) (Since mother is Russia that makes grandmother USSR) "Mama ljubila morona ...ŠČ" "Mother was kissing a moron ...Щ" (Mother Russia electing a moron (Putin) to be president) "Whole alphabet in reverse: Ž(Ж/Ⰶ), Z(З/Ⰷ), V(В/Ⰲ), U(У/Ⱆ), T(Т/Ⱅ), Š(Ш/Ⱎ), S(С/Ⱄ), R(Р/Ⱃ), P(П/Ⱂ), O(О/Ⱁ), Nj(Њ/Ⱀⰺ), N(Н/Ⱀ), M(М/Ⰿ), Lj(Љ/Ⰾⰺ), L(Л/Ⰾ), K(К/Ⰽ), J(Й/Ⰺ), I(И/Ⰻ), H(Х/Ⱈ), G(Г/Ⰳ), F(Ф/Ⱇ), E(Е/Ⰵ), Đ(Ђ/Ⰼ), Dž(Џ/Ⰴⰶ), D(Д/Ⰴ), Ć(Ћ/Ⱋ), Č(Ч/Ⱍ), C(Ц/Ⱌ), B(Б/Ⰱ), A(А/Ⰰ)" The reverse part of the song represents going back in time and repeating the same mistakes from history (not learning from historical events). "Mama, mama, mama ja se idem igrat" "Mom, mom, mom I'm going to personate/roleplay" (Putin is going to personate or roleplay as Lenin and/or Stalin) "MAMA, IDEM U RAT!" "MOM, I'M GOING TO WAR!"🇺🇦 "Onaj mali psihopat" "That little psychopath"(Putin) "Mali podli psihopat" "Little vile psychopath"(Putin) "Krokodilski psihopat" "Crocodilian psychopath"(Putin) (Crocodilian as in enormous/huge/massive, basically the complete opposite of little) (Krokodil is also a drug in Russia stronger than heroin) (Also also reference to Boris Johnson calling Putin a crocodile 🐊) Psychopath is a person affected by chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior. Meanwhile vocals in the background: "Mama ja idem u rat, rat, rat, rat" "Mom I'm going to war, war, war, war" "MAMA, IDEM U RAT!" "MOM, I'M GOING TO WAR!"🇺🇦 Greetings from Croatia 🇭🇷
I think it was a no brainer that they swept the vote at DORA, because nothing else in that dire NF apart from them even stood out. So its no wonder that people voted for something interesting. Let 3 is known to have a provocative and a "prankster like" performances ever since they existed as a band. That´s their niche whenever they go live. They are not being like this just for ESC. I have the same hopes as you that they will do their best to not make this look like a "taking a piss" thing, because that is definitely not their intention. These guys genuinely applied for the competition because they wanna have fun. There is no "John Lydon" mentality behind their intentions. That is why I dislike when any vocal anti-ESC people latch on to entries like this, falsely thinking that this was made with an intention to mock the contest just because it has a wacky appearance.
I hear that some are calling the song out for its political messages. As it seems to me, everyone sees something different in a song, passes it through their filters of understanding and tries to find some hidden meaning within their experiences and knowledge. This only confirms the artistic value that Let 3 has shown again and again in its original, recognizable and consistent way. The fact is that they did not say anything specifically in the song or called someone/something names, condemned, etc., and this is a clear proof that the song is not political. Not a single word in the song has a political overtone, but it managed to tickle people's imagination and their need to understand the message, which in my opinion is already a sufficient indicator of artistic success. But with works of art, the meaning always remains a secret because the goal of art is for the person who consumes it to experience it in his own and only his own way. So realistically, we cannot condemn a song for its political content because it is only the opinion and interpretation of some individuals, and not a real fact.
Your analysis is _Spot On._ The only people who think this is "too politicial" are the same people who think _their country_ is being _directly attacked_ by Let 3 with this song. But there's nothing _in_ this song that's direct. Which just goes to show that all of the people getting Butthurt over this song are themselves supporters of Vile Little Psychopaths.
Ahh...not a fan but I guess we always need a joke entry at Eurovision. Musically it has some nice elements but a bit repetitive. The verses are very annoying, ar least for me. I don't always mind a joke entry. I particularly liked Montenegro 2012 one. There was a lot more going on there
The song is very catchy in Croatian. It's simple and repetitive and it won't leave you in peace. But also, this song is actually a part of anti-war rock-opera piece one of members is writing. It's not supposed to be "easy to listen" because it's theatre music not pop music. Bohemian rhapsody is also not a pop piece. It all boils down whether to you understand the performance or not. I personally think it's genius and brave, and I voted for it on Dora. If another country had sent this song, it would've been brave and eccentric, but since it's Croatia, it's apparently embarrassing and should be disqualified.
Mama ŠČ=Mother Russia(Šč is a russian letter Щ Tractor =Lukasenko bought Putin a tractor I mean..you have a Lenjin on the stage,on his forehead it writes njinLe
It has catchy parts but they need a competent producer for a revamp. I wish Thomas G:son got involved the way he did with Georgia's 2016 Midnight Gold.

It's "Mama bought a tractor" - Mama Russia bought Belarus (also brand of tractor) on their side. That bold guy with writing on a forehead says NJINLE, or LENJIN. Meaning of song:
Putin recently received a tractor from Lukashenko for his birthday.
Also crocodile is drig commin used in russia
Boris Johnson said dealing with Putin was like "a crocodile when it's got your leg in its jaws".
@@ediedo7596 boris johnson is definitely valid person for making judgements, lol.
that is your interpretation.

Something in me just thinks this will qualify. It's not a joke, and I feel like the general military vibe, the missiles, etc, serve somewhat to put that across.
yea but they wont be allowed that on stage. so how do they get the same effect without that?

It would be even more epic in May, they said

Great review Tom, I m definitely all for this song being in the final, it really is needed, and in fact my favourite entry so far.
So far there has not been one song this year I even want to hear again or download (OK, maybe Denmark). Although this entry from Croatia I also cannot see myself listening to over and over, it is absolutely wonderful and should be storming on the night. LOVE IT!

It's crazy as the period we live in. I love it.
Best thing happened to this eurovision
I have no idea what the hell is going on but it has me hooked. Crazy is an understatement so i guess this one is gonna either crash or burn...i don't really care either way but for entertainment value it's up there. It's gonna add to the Eurovision experience for sure and for that we should be positive. I am super curious to see what will happen.
I agree. That’s a great take 🙌🏻
Tractor is a reference to Lukashenko's birthday present to Putin.
The meaning of the lyrics is kinda obvious now:
"Mama bought a tractor"
"Mama (meaning Russia) loved a moron (meaning Putin)"
"That little psychopath (W-w-war, war)
Little, vicious psychopath (W-w-war, war)
Crocodile psychopath (W-w-war, war)
Mama, I'm going to war"
The whole thing is trolling Putin level 100000.
Boris Johnson said dealing with Putin was like "a crocodile when it's got your leg in its jaws".
I hadn’t seen this performance until now. I wasn’t really feeling this song but I’m willing to give it a go. Any Anti-Poo-tin song is worth a chance.
The ebu must be sweating right now. Even if they're not allowed this staging, they will still pull off something crazy.
well the EBU still hasnt confirmed them yet! 😭
@@ESCTom I think they will though. Removing the song will be considered political, not removing the song would also be political, so either way they can't win. They'll just have to play blind on this one.
They always confirm songs not right after they selected, like czechia
they normally confirm songs immediately. they didnt confirm czechia likely because they were having a discussion with them behind the scenes about changing some of the lyrics.
Daniel, i would guess that the EBU are likely discussing with them behind the scenes about how to keep the song but changing some lyrics or parts of the staging to make it less political
Simple...Orwell 's "1984"...
Very good! All points well made. Your reaction is the most objective and overall the best reaction to Mama ŠČ I’ve seen so far. And unfortunately I’ve seen some…
Euro Nero was not a joke entry. In my personal top 10 in 2012
There's a lot of contrast in this song. It's rather intelligent on many levels.
yea i can see how that could be the musical metaphor, and if you're right, it is indeed clever. but i think 99% of people watching arent going to get that metaphor so they do need to be conscious of the fact that everyone is only going to listen to this once and not get that
Eurovisuon audience isn't ready for Let3. This song is masterful. Musically, lyrically and performance wise.
I'm glad they don't pretend that there's no war raging in front of the EU.

This is the best reaction I've seen of this. Maybe bring some of the inventive parts forward to the start. It's not that it's just a serious song, it's very inventive when it gets going.

Hmmm... it helps when, as you do, one delves a bit more into the meaning of the song.

I think the jury will "get" the meaning of the song more quickly than first time viewer...
honestly, juries are absolutely notorious for penalising these types of song. but there is no jury in the semis this year, so they dont need to worry about that

I think the first part is supposed to be flat and empty.

Deep explanation of the song:
"Mama kupila traktora🚜 ŠČ"
"Mother bought a tractor🚜 Щ"
(Mother = Mother Russia)
(Lukashenko gifting a tractor to Putin for his 70th birthday, also Belarus is a popular tractor in Belarus which means that 🇷🇺 bought 🇧🇾)
The Cyrillic letter Shcha Щ was derived from the Glagolitic (Croatian script) letter Shta Ⱋ. Also the sum of letters Š and Č gives Z (25+4=29) in Croatian alphabet, and Z is a military symbol used by Russians to mark their military vehicles in Ukraine.
"Trajna-nina armagedon nona"
(Trajna-nina - Permanent sleep in Croatian)
"Trayna-nina armageddon granny"
(Nuclear armageddon threat)
(Since mother is Russia that makes grandmother USSR)
"Mama ljubila morona ...ŠČ"
"Mother was kissing a moron ...Щ"
(Mother Russia electing a moron (Putin) to be president)
"Whole alphabet in reverse: Ž(Ж/Ⰶ), Z(З/Ⰷ), V(В/Ⰲ), U(У/Ⱆ), T(Т/Ⱅ), Š(Ш/Ⱎ), S(С/Ⱄ), R(Р/Ⱃ), P(П/Ⱂ), O(О/Ⱁ), Nj(Њ/Ⱀⰺ), N(Н/Ⱀ), M(М/Ⰿ), Lj(Љ/Ⰾⰺ), L(Л/Ⰾ), K(К/Ⰽ), J(Й/Ⰺ), I(И/Ⰻ), H(Х/Ⱈ), G(Г/Ⰳ), F(Ф/Ⱇ), E(Е/Ⰵ), Đ(Ђ/Ⰼ), Dž(Џ/Ⰴⰶ), D(Д/Ⰴ), Ć(Ћ/Ⱋ), Č(Ч/Ⱍ), C(Ц/Ⱌ), B(Б/Ⰱ), A(А/Ⰰ)"
The reverse part of the song represents going back in time and repeating the same mistakes from history (not learning from historical events).
"Mama, mama, mama ja se idem igrat"
"Mom, mom, mom I'm going to personate/roleplay"
(Putin is going to personate or roleplay as Lenin and/or Stalin)
"MAMA, IDEM U RAT!"
"MOM, I'M GOING TO WAR!"🇺🇦
"Onaj mali psihopat"
"That little psychopath"(Putin)
"Mali podli psihopat"
"Little vile psychopath"(Putin)
"Krokodilski psihopat"
"Crocodilian psychopath"(Putin)
(Crocodilian as in enormous/huge/massive, basically the complete opposite of little)
(Krokodil is also a drug in Russia stronger than heroin)
(Also also reference to Boris Johnson calling Putin a crocodile 🐊)
Psychopath is a person affected by chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior.
Meanwhile vocals in the background:
"Mama ja idem u rat, rat, rat, rat"
"Mom I'm going to war, war, war, war"
"MAMA, IDEM U RAT!"
"MOM, I'M GOING TO WAR!"🇺🇦

Your analysis is _Spot On._
The only people who think this is "too politicial" are the same people who think _their country_ is being _directly attacked_ by Let 3 with this song. But there's nothing _in_ this song that's direct.
Which just goes to show that all of the people getting Butthurt over this song are themselves supporters of Vile Little Psychopaths.
Very nice
🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜❤️🎉🇭🇷
Aren't they charming? 😁 And yet politically engaged? 👍
ŠČ no1 ❤️👏👏👏🇽🇰
croatia last year was last of all the songs for me, so I would call this a step in the right direction at the very least lol
Ahh...not a fan but I guess we always need a joke entry at Eurovision.
Musically it has some nice elements but a bit repetitive. The verses are very annoying, ar least for me.
I don't always mind a joke entry. I particularly liked Montenegro 2012 one. There was a lot more going on there
One word: Verka!
Song have a message for mama rusia putin
The song is very catchy in Croatian. It's simple and repetitive and it won't leave you in peace.
But also, this song is actually a part of anti-war rock-opera piece one of members is writing. It's not supposed to be "easy to listen" because it's theatre music not pop music. Bohemian rhapsody is also not a pop piece.
It all boils down whether to you understand the performance or not. I personally think it's genius and brave, and I voted for it on Dora.
If another country had sent this song, it would've been brave and eccentric, but since it's Croatia, it's apparently embarrassing and should be disqualified.
Mama ŠČ=Mother Russia(Šč is a russian letter Щ
Tractor =Lukasenko bought Putin a tractor
I mean..you have a Lenjin on the stage,on his forehead it writes njinLe
It has catchy parts but they need a competent producer for a revamp. I wish Thomas G:son got involved the way he did with Georgia's 2016 Midnight Gold.
Gson is the worst, now ay
Tractor is reference to Lukachenko's bithday present to Putin , in song Putin is described as " little psychopat"
The vocalist represent Staljin an the guy with rockets has NINLE on his forehead (word play NIN LE - LENJIN). Mamma ŠČ is metafore for Mother Russia and crocodile is
drug popular in Russia that makes people act like zombies.
No it's not reference to gift. Stop copying stupid thing just to get a like.
that is Queens rhapsody :)) for war
It's "Mama bought a tractor" - Mama Russia bought Belarus (also brand of tractor) on their side.
That bold guy with writing on a forehead says NJINLE, or LENJIN. Little psychopath, well, we know who he is.
That disonace part when all of them falls on their back is Europe.
Crocodile, he attacks everything in his reach.
Let3 are allways provocative, sarcastic, over the top. But they are allways right...
cacoine tractor commander named šč. there
Let 3 je skrenuo pažnju na sebe. Ne bi se čudila da pobijede. Ili prvi ili zadnji😂😂😂😂
Musically it's a car crash they need to clean it up I really Don't hate it tho having fun while projecting a serious message is actually Really clever
