As someone who has a security team, if he stated that he has a security team on retainer set up with a personal account so she could simply give them a call, then 70k means very little to him. The key thing here is that he can offer her his personal security detail, that means it isn't being charged to his business or company like most of us do, it requires a different level of wealth to be spending that kind of money out of pocket. I highly doubt he shops for anything but luxury goods, cars, and other collectors items himself, he might not even do that.

My first thought was to not turn on that iPhone. It could be bugged (either an App, or some hardware inside). Some sort of location tracker at least.
