Our day at Goodwood Revival 2021 watching historic motor racing & BRM V16 demo at the Sussex circuit

- This is the 9th Goodwood Revival motor racing meeting that I've been to, dad and I did the first seven (1998-2004), then 2006, and in 2015 we returned to Goodwood - albeit as exhibitors this time - with the ex- Dennis Poore Dodge transporter (see other videos), which went on display in the main paddock area. Given that Goodwood was the Dodge's local circuit following WW2, and appeared there many times between 1948 & 1955, it was fun to drive it back into the paddock area at the 2015 Revival after an absence of 60 years. Six years on from that visit, as junior (13) had never been to the Revival, I took him for a visit on the Sunday this year to introduce him to this enormous motor race meeting.
Dressed up in his retro clothes, we both had a great time despite the weather being a little British in the morning.
This video recalls our Sunday visit to Goodwood Revival 2021. It isn't a full record of every race, car, driver or race result, or every attraction, more a general look around at the exhibits and attractions close to the circuit, then clips taken of various races, classic / vintage cars & motorcycles that took to the track throughout the day.
The aviation section is also covered, as are several of the on-track demonstration displays that took place - including a huge military vehicle parade, an exhibition of Stirling Moss cars, and a celebration of BRM (British Racing Motors) including the sensational BRM V16 (including the V16 recreation).
Due to a lack of time we didn't get to see all the shops, retro activities, and the classic car displays dotted around the Goodwood site, but this video gives a flavour of the event from a spectator's viewpoint.

I've been there. Goodwood revival festival is the best ever guys. Wowww. The last weekend was the best in my life. The best than other festivals also in Goodwood. 2022 is my year. Perfect video.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad that these things are of interest. We'd be going to these places anyway just now we tend to have the camera set to video as well as photos, rather than just the latter.
Another great Goodwood revival video another look at what goes on during the festival the cars were interesting also the aircraft and evering going on l live in Australia and enjoy looking at the cars
On the whole, better coverage than ITV could come up with. Much more St. Mary's Trophy next year, please!

Thank you for an excellent video. I enjoyed the “Stirling Moss drive by” I was at Goodwood the day
when Stirling had his crash, It was very nostalgic. It shows how many different cars Stirling drove
often on the same day, he would enter Saloon, Sports car and formula one and often win all three
I loved the Frazer Nash saloon car winning the prewar race. I enjoyed your paddock walk around

Every time I see/hear the BRM V-16, I think "what if" they had been a mid-engine design, like the Auto Unions. Would they have been more successful or reliable? We can only wonder...

The Pistons on the V-16 must be the size of a nickel! Excellent video as usual! Try for 3 days next time. There is nothing that comes close to Goodwood!!! Espically it you grew up in the 50's,60's, and 70's like I did.
True 3 days is best, dad and I did the first 6 or 7 Revivals for 3 days each go, last year it was very much a late decision so we just went for the 1 day

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but do you have a son making UA-cam videos, there’s a young guy, teenager i think, making videos and he sounds like you and presents his videos the same way, lol 😂, probably nothing in it. Superb video man, I’d give a kidney to go there, lol 😝. Amazing place to visit, i love anything with an engine it, i even love lawnmower racing, it’s amazing. Hi, thanks for watching, yes my lad does his own vids on his CarTraction channel and we often appear in the background of each other's creations. He has a different take on many things despite us often walking around similar exhibits, so he has the youthful view on things, his dad .. err doesn't so much :-)
