First heard this song on _Bill Justis and his Orchestra's_ album called _Alley Cat/Green Onions._ A brilliant album for anyone who's interested in 60's Big Band style pop music. You'll know at least half the songs on it. It has a terrific version of _The Stripper._
It was actually out of date in 65 as it had been recorded in 64 and was intended to be shown on New Year's Eve TV to celebrate that year's music, however the TV network bosses frowned on so much pop music and dismissed it. It managed to recover its money in the cinema in 65 and could also be seen in color.
Rinky Dink skladba skupiny Sounds Incorporated, ktorá vznikla v roku 1961 v Dartforde. Tvorili ju Alan Holmes bariton saxofon, Griff West vl.m. David Glyde tenosaxofon, Barrie Cameron-Elmes organ, John St. John vl.m. John Gillard solová gitara, Wes Hunter vl.m. Richard Thomas basová gitara(1941-2013) Terry Fogg perkusie a Tony Newman bicie. Ten to zániku skupiny koncom 60. rokov hral v skupinách Three Man Army, T. Rex, Boxer a Jeff Back Group.
+Tower of Power Is this the same Tony Newman from the band May Blitz or I have it wrong..it's Tony Newsome that plays for May Blitz...can you help straighten me out on this? Thanks.
you could edit that offensive first 10 seconds out of the video in youtube, i think without losing existing views etc, if it was just the music you wanted.
All the songs in this film (Pop Gear) were mimed in the studio (with the exception of The Beatles numbers that were filmed live in a cinema, and part of another short film by Pathe) Yes someone forgot to put an organ on the set. All the performers were from the Brian Epstein stable.

The organist is briefly visible on the far left a few times. The reason he is otherwise missing is because this originally was filmed in widescreen, but this version has been cropped on both ends to fill the screen from top to bottom.
is that buddy holly on the organ ? :-) ...most important acustic guy almost not visable :-) damm format changes over time ..lol great fotage ty for sharing
I always thought that was "Caroline" by the Fortunes (1964 IIRC). The melody does sound similar. Maybe this version was used in the 60s and the Fortunes in the 70s & 80s? Little known fact, Rinky Dink was the theme for another pirate radio station - ELR 'broadcasting just for you' on 201m to East London ~~1975-1978.
In the time of the Beatles, in 1965, this song and performance seemed way out of style already. Multiple saxophones moving in sync looked like the ‘50s. Now I like this, but when I saw this film new I was annoyed by how old fashioned this number was.
Best group live I ever saw .A powerhouse sound and a great live act. Also great live were the Outlaws with Ritchie Blackmore on guitar
We just heard this absolutely brilliant song on our local radio.
They are having so much fun

I didn't know about it...!

This was filmed in 1965 -- a time of innocence, when Saville's vile activity was swept under the rug.

Nothing innocent about media personalities as government officials sweeping his activities under the mat.
Too right it was!
A great live act, obviously miming here.
A Tremendous Live Act,Real Music
Kinda cool having a cordless guitar back then when no one else did.

Think the follow up to this was - Last night?
I believe Sounds Incorporated opened for The Beatles at Shea Stadium
featured on his 1962 album Rinky Dink In Canada the song reached #6
The song is called Rinky Dink and not Big Energy like said Jimmy Savile ;)
❤❤❤❤
I got this Movie on DVD and thankfully Sa-Ville Is only on the first couple of songs.. And No Chinese writing on Mine.
I'm looking for that video where the sax players alternately jump up and down in perfect timing. Which one is it?
That's on this same film....it's their performance of "William Tell."

Why do they not show the featured instrumentalist in this video? The song is played on an organ !!!! Where's the organ player???

@@hebneh To be honest, he wasn't a very attractive man.

He does look like that. I didn't see him at all in this film, though.

"Introduced by Jimmy Sarile."
Don't you mean Jimmy So-Vile.
Theme from the pirate ship Radio Caroline

It's a pity that they weren't more successful.
whoah...slow down
It's hard to me.. ;(
Sounds Incorporated son mas populares que Jesucristo......
I understand :p

Well this band did try to copy the Beatle's suites.
So ya gotta give em that.
@@im1who84u True, they do have the trendy clothing...but the not-so-trendy sound for '65.
TOUGH!!!
This is considered ska?
I thought that Jimmy Savile name was familiar... ewwwww wtf
Get Saville off UA-cam!
I know. Sorry.
Dont be silly, you cant re write history
