Though one of the golds from the 2008 Olympics was later stripped due to a teammate’s doping violation, he still has eight Olympic gold medals. Additionally, he surpassed Michael Johnson's long-standing 200m record and remains the current record holder for both sprints even after retiring. Bolt’s accomplishments are numerous and difficult to keep track of, solidifying his status as the greatest sprinter in history. Key Facts: 100m World Record: 9.72s (2008) 9.69s (2008) 9.58s (2009) 200m World Record: 19.30s (2008) 19.19s (2009) Olympic Gold Medals: 8 (originally 9, but one from 2008 was stripped due to a teammate’s doping violation) Olympic Gold Medals in 100m and 200m: Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016 Triple-Triple: Achieved gold in both 100m and 200m at three consecutive Olympics (though one gold was stripped, he still has 8 gold medals). 😂😂😂😂
Usain Bolt would still hold the title of the greatest sprinter because he broke the world record in the 100m and 200m sprints multiple times. He set the 100m world record three times: 9.72s in 2008, 9.69s in 2008, and 9.58s in 2009. He also set the 200m world record twice: 19.30s in 2008 and 19.19s in 2009. Bolt won gold medals in both the 100m and 200m at three consecutive Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016), achieving a unique 'triple-triple' feat.
