That kiss and wink was the cherry on top.
🤣. Way to go Mike. Good video btw.
Lol thanks. I agree.
Great video Mike 👍
Nice video Mike!!!👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks buddy
Altoid tins are handy.👍
Good video.
So much room for activities!
The velcro loop at the bottom back is to go around your pants' belt to keep the pack in place so it doesn't slide around on your shoulder.
Hmmm, I would think the other strap that goes around your waist would serve that purpose. That would seem quite awkward to put on but hey, what do I know?
@@hamradiotube One is horizontal, one is vertical. Not saying it's a good idea, just saying that's the design reason. I've never used it on any of my shoulder bags.
Just lately I have 6 pieces of stripped out CAT cable wire to tie my carbon 6 to stuff. Very light and more compact than budgie cords.
It's a good bag but I think I'd prefer two shoulder straps if going a bit of a walk, I have a rucksack. The PL259 to BNC I'm not sure about, drop that in long grass and it might be the last you see of it.
I want to get out this year, FT817ND, SOTA Beams telescopic mast with wire, earth wire, key, MFJ 16010 tuner I was given as faulty but it was only a loose wire, RG58 with BNC, either near the road by motorbike or a bus or train and walk into the hills. Paper and pen for notes, callsigns etc.
I installed an LED into the MFJ to help with a quick tune up and put in a BNC socket.

You are such a good merchandise model Mike. Maybe missed your calling, hi hi! Cheers and 73!
That's what I was thinking. Still waiting on that call from Hollywood.
I love the kiss Mike!!!!😘
Lol that was my favorite part!
2:25--priceless
lol
I have that exact bag, and use it for walking my property. I also added a side pouch, but for a water bottle.
I also the Red Rock Assault pack, more room for hamming AND hiking.
BTW, I live in a little town called Red Rock, so I have a soft spot in my heart for the company.
I am so guilty of bringing everything with me and need to do better pairing down. Thanks for showing how to keep it simple, whether it's QRP or QRO.
it's a never ending struggle man.
Your evolve III pc will fit in the rover large model of this bag. It’s about an inch and a half wider. ;)
But can you do APRS. Just kidding. 😂 Great video! Love the bag!
Lol. The bag itself does APRS!
I use that pack for my Icom ic7000
Thank you Mike, great video! K4DSX
@k8mrd (or others with this bag), I know this is a few months old now but I just got this bag for my FT-891, it works great and was exactly what I was looking for but I do have a question. Does anyone do anything for padding or protection for the radio? The 891 fits in the main slot you demonstrated nicely but it's tight and I noticed with the cooling fins down, they are not really protected at all other than the single layer of the bottom of the bag when you go to set the bag down, has anyone come up with any good ideas for radio protection or are you just careful when setting the bag down? I suppose you might be able to fit something in the compartment first but it is a pretty tight fit. I don't have side rails and wasn't sure if it would still fit if those were added.
great video Mike. looking to have a edc bag for radio so i can activate whenever
Well it depends on how much crap you want to carry and what kind of radio, but this one has served me well for many years now.
hey what was that last rolled up yellow antenna? i’m about to dip into HF when i test for my general and i have no clue about what radio to get or antenna to use
That was great, really appreciate it. Lots of good ideas. But... did you say "Morris Code"??? 🤔😬 ... 😋
I don't think so.
BTW... On the Digirig, don't leave the cables plugged in. The jacks LOVE to snap off the circuit board!
Hmm. Good to know.
Funny as hell.
The bags at this link are now all $40+. Still a good deal.

Goonies never say die
You're damn right about that. Not about the velcro though.
Hi mike, can you fit a ic705 in there? VK1MIK
I've fallen into that trap. Lightening up now.
It never stops
Mike great bag! You have amazing organizational skills!
Do you ever feel the need to bring any water with you? If so do you just strap it to your hip?
Thanks, for your videos and your thoughts.

I have water with me 100% of the time. Even if I'm just going to the store. I carry a big 64 ounce water bottle everywhere I go.
That velcro piece is to go around your belt
Why does everybody say that? Who the F#$% is going to put that around their belt?? I'm calling total BS on anyone who says that. Show me how that works in your next UA-cam video. Make sure to tag me on it.
@@hamradiotube ohh I said that cause of the width of that strap looks like a duty rig loop
I've had one for few years now. I use it for my hamfest bag. Will actually be using it if go to dayton. Are you going?
I am
@K8MRD RADIO STUFF I'm hoping to go Friday. Hopefully forecast changes
Will my mfj 939 auto tuner fit in this bag with my ft891?
Probably? It would be tight if it does fit. I used to put my 891 and a 10AH battery in it though.
Would a camera bag do the same thing with extra padding .
Sure. Lots of bags do the same thing. They hold stuff. But this video is about this bag.
Instead of the computer for digital OPs. What about a RPi headless and your phone?
That's so small though. You could. Not for me.
*L O V E T H E I N F O R M A T I O N* Thank you
Thank you.
What kind of pouch carries the antenna on the side of the bag? Looking for one…
You know I really couldn't tell you. I got it years ago at an army surplus store in Michigan.
@@hamradiotube ok - I’ll keep searching… thanks and BTW your videos are informative and fun
@@profpositive it’s just a hand held radio bag/pouch if that helps. It’s actually exactly this. amzn.to/3O95k3Y
@@hamradiotube got it! Thanks
😄😄😄😄🤣 Posing blowing kisses 👄
Just one of my many talents!
Good stuff. de WC5B
