I was told by a friend they were parked at the Vista House one day, awhile back, with similar winds, when they saw a car pull up to park with the rear of the car toward the wind. Before they could do anything about it, someone opened the car door, the wind pulled the door out of their hand, flattened it, ruined the hinges so they couldn’t shut it again.😮
Just on any old day, in and near the gorge, a door can be ripped away from your hand. I have learned to not park near a car when it is windy here. I haven't heard of it ruining the hinges but I try not to get myself in that situation.
Whoa! Good warning. On the live stream that day a car drove by with no hood. I went back and watched it pull in but I couldn’t tell if the hood was missing already and I didn’t see it fly off when it was circling the vista house
I have got to hand it to you for your dedication. I had gone up the Chilliwack river to do some birding, when I finally found one, my camera had frozen.
Wowsers, Boss, I watched the entire livestream and after all of that, you were able to give us another Snyder Productions video; finished, polished with music. The storm was epic by itself, in many ways like the Mission Street bridge last year. But the cuts and splicing was just you plus minimal music. Not much music would fit a storm such as that. Watch the finger. If it’s broken, keyboard work can become very difficult. Again ideas for giveaway; a storm chase with you. Outstanding presentation, nature at her finest. ❤❤❤
Thank you so very much for your valiant and extremely courageous effort in bringing this video together and I pray you have a safe journey home. Bless you for all you do 🙏🌏
I am shocked that they didn't close the road to Vista House. It is brutal up there in the winter at the best of times. The east coast has Mt. Washington, we have Crown Point. It's been very cold and windy here. Waiting for round 2 tomorrow.
Other than an occasional wind storm, I’ve always said there’s no wind here. Except for an Aug. trip to Ocean Shores & Cannon Beach many yrs ago. This is a big NOPE for me. 😅
Was that the most extreme conditions you’ve ever experienced storm chasing the PNW? Seems hard to beat. Also congrats on 60k! Getting to that 💯 slowly but surely!
@@PacificNorthwestWeather has your side mirror ever been blown forward like that before? That was pretty shocking at the time. Not a lot of surface area on that mirror

That was so fun today watching adults behave like..penguins. The recorded giggling was priceless.
It does look like fun. Maybe not every day, but every once in a while.
A gentle breeze.
Light jacket weather.
Thx such a thrill!!! Y'all have gusto, n go get'em. I slept exhausted by fun.

So much fun! I love being out in the wind, fortunately it’s not that cold here!!!
Thank you, Michael! Absolutely lovin these videos!
Very interesting day, thank you Michael. I always wondered what Crown Point was like when we get these cold east winds.

That's CRAZY!!! 💨💨💨💨😱
That's about 15 minutes from me, you crazy. 😂
Strap a kite on your back, and I bet you could do the Hood-to-Coast in the 2:22 it took this video to run.
HOW WINDY WAS IT!?!?
I’m gonna keep doing this bit until it’s acknowledged
I've been to this lookout point in 2019. I had no idea such violent winds often assail this location. Clearly, these are Hurricane level winds.
That's crazy man
Looks like Ilwaco almost
You guys look hammered!! 😂😂

I think I heard someone 2 or 3 days ago on KGW say something about hurricane force winds. They weren't kidding.
Been in wind like that a lot out at Cape Blanco!
Holy guacamole!!!!😮😮
A bit windy, was it?😂❤
100+mph

is this normal?
Need a big fireplace in the Vista House for weather like that. What was the thing strapped onto your car?
That’s an Anemometer - wind, speed tester
@@AC_Cool_ thank you
What were the top winds speed
About98 and rising when they left; it seemed to be getting outside of their 'comfort' zone.
