    Something to be so proud of Alan...many of us will never get tired of hearing your stories! The love of Ida, your mom and the inspiration you felt to keep going surely tells me she's been with you in spirit throughout your climb and your involvement in the Alzheimers Foundation. You are amazing in all your accomplishments! She'd be so proud of you! Today I opened my cell phone case...and needed Google to search something...well wouldn't you know it? This quite handsome looking man, a very familiar face to me...a man I've followed for years in his red goose downed parka....oh yes....sure enough there you were in the Business Insider Science section with a plastered picture of the one and only Sir Alan Arnette! Article on "Three professional mountaineers explain why these shorter peaks are so challenging, and why Mt. Everest is easier to climb than ever before. I thought you'd like to know...again the world should know your name by now! Just another thing to be proud of Alan! God bless your good heart!

    What a wonderful story! You inspire us all. Thank you as much as you thanked Kami Sherpa. I love mountains, but sometimes i am to lazy to go. When I start walking its different story, everything is right where it should be. I am ashamed by your story frankly. That drive and passion you have is unbelievably strong. Thank you so much!

Also thank you for the update on Ryan Mitchell since we haven’t heard from him but that is okay he’s doing a very hard time right now and I want him to be focused and safe! I closed my eyes for most of it and envisioned all the spots that I know from other documentaries & videos, so it was like I was summiting with you in that great narrative.. beautiful way to end the story too.

    Hello Alan, I was recently reading about the Himalayan Database. I was just curious, if a climber summits with a guide service, does that expedition leader submit the names for entry into the official database, or does each individual have to submit their own names?

    • @AlanArnetteClimbs
      @AlanArnetteClimbs  2 місяці тому +2

      They get names from the Nepal government based on officials, liaison Officers and guide leaders. All is based on the official permitting process.

      @AlanArnetteClimbs thanks for the reply, Alan. I was watching a video on Elizabeth Hawley recently, and it peaked my interest into that whole process. I remembered reading about her in one of Ed Viester's books that I read. FYI, my sister has Alzheimers. It's very sad to see a loved one go through it. Thanks for what you do for this cause.
