Score (!) on the score magazine organizers vs. banker’s boxes. This doesn’t include what my musician parents will be letting go of…..so this is a great start.

I love how well your collections and memorabilia are organized and displayed. I've been working on organizing my own collections in a way that I'm able to enjoy them, and hopefully one day I can display them as well as you when I have the space. I lost a couple family members this year, and in both cases so much of this type of stuff was hidden away in boxes and photo albums. My goal is to get things out of boxes and curated in a way that it can be seen and enjoyed.

It's interesting that you chose to sort your books by color vs category, as someone who is organized that's a very disorganized approach 😅 It is pretty though.
Actually, I recognize the books by the color on the spine so it's easier for me to find them and the only rule of organization is that you need to be able to locate items quickly. I color block in my closet too! I know that Happy Horsemanship is Red and Uncontainable is Blue! Also, if they are color-blocked and it's nicer for me to look at when similar colors are grouped together and it's less chaotic. You gotta do whatever system works for your brain! That's what makes organizing so fun 🥰

Everyone's brain is wired differently :) I am trying to think about the colors of the books on my bookcase and I can only think of the cookbook colors, I reach for those the most. Everything else is reference by hobby or manga. Now, do you keep your series together? I noticed your manga was combined separately, I love that.

I bought a rattlesnake plant because of you probably about a year ago. Recently she’s been giving me a little trouble. Her leaves were curling not from the ends but sideways from side to side like a taco, so I googled it and it said not enough water, so I watered her really good and she seemed happy and then she got mold on the top of her dirt, I googled it, listed three things you could put on it, of the three things I didn’t own two but I had cinnamon so I sprinkled cinnamon on her dirt. She seems to be OK and the brown cinnamon covers up the mold. 🪴
