I league started this and I can agree it is boneshatter plus. I love boneshatter by the way, I league start it almost every league. To me being able to use a one chaos unique weapon along with dawnbreaker that early on trade is just unbeatable. Not to mention bossing is just so much better than boneshatter. Then you can swap the shield to get suppress, which is huge commodity. And, well, yeah, singletarget damage is just really fucking good with heatshiver and trinity, who would have guessed. Awesome build man, you hit the nail on the head with this one

Haven't switched to this yet, seems like a large investment and I keep spending my currency. But this league is the first time I've defeated Searing Exarch/Elder/Shaper/Maven +more and I've finally started to learn some crafting mechanics as well (Followed the crafting section of this video on craft of exile). Really happy I decided to play this league 30 minutes before launch and that your build was the first video on youtube o7
@@gdraggon9589 the base body with T1 spell suppression is 4 divs before crafting. Then 4 more just to craft modifiers. I'd stick to your boneshatter for now
Loved the build. It's actually pretty good when you consider the budget. Too bad it's still melee, if the tattoo doesn't go core strike range would be a (slight) problem in the future leagues if people still want to play it too. Redeemer's belt mod has %cold and inc dmg to chilled enemies, both are pretty decent too.
something i have noticed is that while action speed on boots looks mega busted there is a problem in that when u activate taste of hate u always get a very small chill vs bosses 3 to 7 normally this would not matter since we have the unstaapple node from jugger. howver since the mod from the boot is a bonus action speed and not ur base action speed it will be negated by the chill.
I don't think the POB has action speed does it? But yes, I didn't think of this, probably just can't use action speed on boots then. Unless you go for avoid ailment completely which I was thinking of doing anyways for ignite.

Thank you for always creating the best builds. This is one of the builds I really want to do in the next league, but I wonder if heatshiver's nerf has made it difficult to utilize the Trinity support gem in this build.
I kinda last minute decided to go with your build (for a late league start) and I've been having a total blast. Just one mechanical question: Does the Extra Fire damage from Heatshiver not count towards the attack hit? I never ignite (also not according to PoB) with attacks, despite having 20% of chance to ignite on attack hit.
One thing that helped me "deal" (it just made it feel smoother) with trauma on Boneshatter was the Leech Mastery that gave recoup if you've stopped Leeching recently. It made my Boneshatter Jugg feel like it had Slayer overleech tbh.

Honestly, you can pretty much do anything with this. I'm currently doing the new maven node + harvest/essence/heist/syndicate though. (along with guardian/conq maps drops)

Was setting this up, couldn't find a guide for it. Got my 1.45 Frostbreath for 10c, currently only level 75 need so many passive points. Didn't know that about the chest piece going to have to swap from my armour based one.
@@Goratha When crafting the chest to finish it what do you think about using a Warlord's Exalt. 40% chance to get a life mod that would ruin the mastery but could be fixed with tainted annuls. The -15 mana cost would be an insane hit would be able to run the 7th link lvl 30 ancestral call which would make clear even better and not need to worry about mana. But the most likely hit is all resistance and increased strength%. The endurance charge gain wouldn't be useful but would allow you to drop the gain on hit notable.

@@Goratha It's not just the ramp. The ramp on this takes 2.5-3.5x longer than a crit/blitz/divergent rage jugg. Increased duration is also 100% fake damage when it matters. Your berserk is 100% fake damage as well when it matters. We already have over 6 seconds for damage windows. That's far more than you get in Maven and ubers. In general, not to be offensive, how you're portraying this overestimates its damage by 80-90% when it matters. Just a really disappointing video. It looks like you have 10mil damage at most outside of TOTA while you're advertising 120mil which you literally never have. Edit: I should add here that the most damage (by far) for Trauma+(insert strike here) is dual wielding. The best mapping is with a staff. The best "all-around" might be with a staff as well. The tankiest version is obviously with a rare shield with +2% max res and +8% phys reduction (Dawnbreaker is a trap). I've spent about 30 div testing them.
Hey man, looking forward to your update with 3.23. 1, What's the new glacial hammer trans gem situation gonna be, when every third strike instead of freeze the enemy, it crit. My thought is, using that, we can replace ruthless gem with crit damage, at the same level, crit damage and ruthless gives about the same to third strike damage output, but unlike ruthless which is gem only, crit damage can be stacked up elsewhere and surpass it, marylene's fallacy would be huge in damage since it's a guaranteed crit. Also, the first two hits can "accidentally" crit and get a damage buff. However I'm not sure how it would interact with cold mastery's freeze increase enemy damage taken part, it clearly will freeze less on certain bosses, but by how much. 2, Since you use ruthless, why not mace mastery culling strike on stun, since ruthless guaranteed a stun hit of 0.8 sec minimum, is it because the ramp up damage on bosses can get really high that within 10% you kill it fast already, unless it's a uberboss level of tanky, it's not really worth it most of the time?
Why does the PoB show 129 mil DPS with Trauma stacks set to 0, and much less with stacks set to 50 or 70? How many stacks can we get? Is PoB not adjusted to account for Trauma mechanics?
I’ve been following ur boneshatter guide and now I am in the endgame (before ashes switch) with 90% phys reduc like 30k-40k armor and I can’t, for the life of me, get trauma to 30+ any tips?
for the shield if I can' find a spell supress fracture highest is t3 would a fracture 7%pdr also work? I know we said rare shield was the bis, and I wanted to ask would Mahuxotl's Machinations Steel kite shield ever work for our build? is there a world where it could work or no way?
It's really hard to get the POB one, but there is a way to easily get one that is better than Frostbreath. Spam zeal essences until t1 hatred effect, then depending on prefixes you can Aisling for pen, and then finish by crafting %cold damage. (if you have space you can multi-mod %cold damage and weapon elemental damage)
Could you modify the build to use Heavy Strike, change the weapon to Soul Taker and then convert most of your damage to cold using gloves/Watchers Eye/masteries to work with Heatshiver? Is this even worth doing in your opinion?

Hi Goratha! Currently playing in ssfhc and want to try the build. Can you explain me how do you get trauma stacks without trauma support? In day 1-4 progress I see trauma stacks building up, but im pob there is not trauma support gem. So I dont understand. I assume in pob you dont have a six link yet and in video you show a six link?
The first POB was from before the league, POB didn't have trauma in it yet so I made it myself in the config, that's probably what is confusing you. Trauma should be used as soon as you switch to a 1-hander.
Without Green nightmare and the flesh and flame stones would the build still work?? the green nightmare verdian isnt in my console market sadly and im itching to try this build or are those necessities for mid to late game
Trying this build out so far and I love how tanky it is. But I do have a few issues with damage, for whatever reasons sometimes mobs don't die or take a long time to kill. The most difficult mobs I've faced so far are Tier 1 Harvest monsters lol. On my other builds these mobs are 0 threat. But for whatever reason on glacial hammer, they can sometimes take a long time to kill or I'd just die randomly. Would somebody be able to help me out?
I love this build. I started with some meme builds this league, couldnt porgress past tier12 with them in SSF, started this 2 days ago and I'm having a blast.

Hello! I just crafted the sceptre but I didn't get adds # to # cold damage mod :(. How important is it? I simulated in pob and it was like a 3-5% dmg loss so I got a little confused
It's the least important roll, you don't really care about flat cold damage since trauma gives so much flat already. Phys as extra cold for example is much better.
New player here. Tried leveling a marauder but it was very tough and i thought it was just how the game was, but then i tried the witch with skeletons and totems and it was a breeze (?). Should I expect it to be different later on? is it just the marauder? or is melee just shit?
Hmm, melee is probably a bit harder for newer players, you have to consider things like hit chance, ect. Also it's a play style where you get hit a lot more, and ranged is generally easier, especially minion/totem builds. That being said melee can be very strong and this build does scale really well later.
You say that rage is not particularly needed, which means that berserk is not used, and indeed it is not in the POB version. But you show on the video where the damage is 80 million just under the berserk.
To the people whove tried this build, how does it run sanctum? Do you think it would be better to run something like anomalous hypothermia instead of faster attacks to get better freeze chance in sanctum? Also, anyone know why faster attacks is being used over multistrike?
Multistrike doesn't apply trauma to the subsequent attacks, only the first. Faster attacks feels quite a bit better for the ramp, you could go for hypothermia but I opted against it for that reason, it's also more mana which can be a bit annoying.
Yo do u think its possible to farm bosses on day 2 with 10div budget ? Or would you recommend better build for that on Marauder ? Dont really feel the Gencry playstyle.
I must be doing something wrong because this build still feels awful after spending ~20 div on it and playing through the atlas/watchstones with it. Attack speed is really low which makes trauma stacking a huge pain. Single target is really low which also makes flasks fall off constantly. Tanu Ahi almost never procs adrenaline and onslaught. Totems often get 1 shot by juiced rares or in a few seconds from aoe. The only foreseeable "fix" i can think of is to spend even more currency getting a rare sceptre, gg rings, and a bunch more armour to ramp trauma like 2-3x higher.
You're definitely doing something wrong, I leveled mine and as soon as I switched to Glacial Hammer at lv40 (Trauma at around lv 70), I breezed through the Acts and was doing Tier 16 maps at lv 75 before doing uber lab... lol lv 93 now and unlocking even more power (the totem passives up to panopticon are very important, the totem buffs really unlock a lot of power). Scepter will be a pain to craft or buy, probably no uber before I get that..
@@SilverHeimdallas a lab runneryour level makes up for you tip never run from izaro if you have to circle him counterclock wise or if u fight him from back he cant hit you stick to his back his green shots only come when ur distance
replica frostbreath is a good temporary, so heist in general is probably pretty good / harbingers for ancient orbs helps a ton too since you'll want a heatshiver too
I'm so glad I got "baited" and league started this. It is the most fun I've had on a league start in awhile. By this time, I would be considering rerolling to another build already, but not this league. Thank you for the guide and for keeping updating it with new findings.

I think it should be fine without tattoos the only one I think will be noticeable will be +strike range. (will make sanctums ect harder, maybe use behead for strike range if needed?)
Quality now causes Supported Skills to deal 0-20% increased Damage with Hits against Enemies that are on Low Life, instead of Supported Skills having +0-0.2 metres to Melee Strike Range. RIP@@Goratha
also Quality now causes every third successive strike to Freeze enemies as though dealing 0-100% more Damage, instead of providing 0-40% increased Duration of Cold Ailments. . guess thats still a win even if its probably not great@@Goratha
The first POB has some leveling stuff in it if you want to check those notes / set-ups. But I am planning on doing a full video update on this eventually.
You can't use EO and PT at same time unfortunately. Best and easiest way to craft is to spam essence of zeal on a redeemer karui until you get hatred effect, and then aisling for pen and finish by crafting %cold damage
Hey there, I have two questiions about the build, the first is how do you get fortify and the second one is, if you use grutkhul as your minor god and not garukhan, how do you get your shock resistance?
I started this and it's good. But the issue is that without crit you don't freeze on every bit. Hypothermia with the alt quality, trinity, herald of ice and frost bite get you to 100% in whatever combination you feel. And yeah going iron reflexes was always the play

Doesnt really look better than boneshatter but its a good clickbait so i dont blame you much. Still its a bit dissapointing. Overall it isnt bad for a melee skill but the opportunity cost of having to be in melee and swing away compared to its benefits really doesnt make for a good equation.
It's not really about damage (but damage seems higher to me tbh) but the fact that you get a shield and ED over boneshatter. Also this league you get a bunch of +strike range which helps the melee part quite a bit, it actually feels quite nice for mapping.
Have you played this build? I've league started both builds, this is superior to Boneshatter. Better floor, better ceiling. Freeze everything. Better defences. Way cheaper to slap T16s. What exactly is disappointing and clickbait?
you can freeze everything, chill 30%, more defenses, 1 alch weapon for BiS for a long while so no need for expensive crafted 2h axe im pretty sure this is enough to justify it being better
Loreweave is really bad on jugg especially, ED/loreweave is a good combo but not for jugg. But anyways Brass Dome isn't "bad" I just think a rare is better.

It does apply, you have to freeze the monster first though.
Really fun build, only question i have is how do you craft the Redeemer influenced karui sceptre?

Man the actual damage on this looks like it actually is about 1/10th of what the POB says. Staff is way, way better.
I mean, if you watch the video I explain the reason why (trauma needs to ramp)
pob assumes you hit and maintain your max trauma, you can modify how many stacks you average in the config section to get a better idea.

I'm definitely making a video on this soon, for the mace mastery part - you can't stun a mob that is frozen unfortunately, so it wouldn't work.

POB calculates the maximum you could reach if you could stand still for the full ramp and not move

It's really hard to get the POB one, but there is a way to easily get one that is better than Frostbreath.
Spam zeal essences until t1 hatred effect, then depending on prefixes you can Aisling for pen, and then finish by crafting %cold damage. (if you have space you can multi-mod %cold damage and weapon elemental damage)
Could you modify the build to use Heavy Strike, change the weapon to Soul Taker and then convert most of your damage to cold using gloves/Watchers Eye/masteries to work with Heatshiver? Is this even worth doing in your opinion?

Hi Goratha! Currently playing in ssfhc and want to try the build. Can you explain me how do you get trauma stacks without trauma support? In day 1-4 progress I see trauma stacks building up, but im pob there is not trauma support gem. So I dont understand. I assume in pob you dont have a six link yet and in video you show a six link?
The first POB was from before the league, POB didn't have trauma in it yet so I made it myself in the config, that's probably what is confusing you.
Trauma should be used as soon as you switch to a 1-hander.

Trying this build out so far and I love how tanky it is.
But I do have a few issues with damage, for whatever reasons sometimes mobs don't die or take a long time to kill. The most difficult mobs I've faced so far are Tier 1 Harvest monsters lol. On my other builds these mobs are 0 threat. But for whatever reason on glacial hammer, they can sometimes take a long time to kill or I'd just die randomly. Would somebody be able to help me out?

trauma hits do not count for sanctum, that would be dumb XD
so technically yes you can but it would be very hard compared to spark, ts, swt, or srs
btw i forgot to say, your first iteration wasnt looking good. this precise tech version is absolutely better. if i can find a frostbreath in ssf i might try this
Hello! I just crafted the sceptre but I didn't get adds # to # cold damage mod :(. How important is it? I simulated in pob and it was like a 3-5% dmg loss so I got a little confused
It's the least important roll, you don't really care about flat cold damage since trauma gives so much flat already. Phys as extra cold for example is much better.
New player here. Tried leveling a marauder but it was very tough and i thought it was just how the game was, but then i tried the witch with skeletons and totems and it was a breeze (?). Should I expect it to be different later on? is it just the marauder? or is melee just shit?
Hmm, melee is probably a bit harder for newer players, you have to consider things like hit chance, ect. Also it's a play style where you get hit a lot more, and ranged is generally easier, especially minion/totem builds.
That being said melee can be very strong and this build does scale really well later.
Any chance this will be good in 3.24 ?
It's been nerfed a lot from this video guide, but the crit version would still be alright.
You say that rage is not particularly needed, which means that berserk is not used, and indeed it is not in the POB version. But you show on the video where the damage is 80 million just under the berserk.
Yeah, it was used for mapping with warlord's mark, but yes you don't have it on bosses.

To the people whove tried this build, how does it run sanctum? Do you think it would be better to run something like anomalous hypothermia instead of faster attacks to get better freeze chance in sanctum? Also, anyone know why faster attacks is being used over multistrike?
Multistrike doesn't apply trauma to the subsequent attacks, only the first. Faster attacks feels quite a bit better for the ramp, you could go for hypothermia but I opted against it for that reason, it's also more mana which can be a bit annoying.

for the rage on bosses couldnt you do a glove swap using kaom's spirit to get rage then swap back to your regular gloves?
Yeah you can do some weird things to get rage on bosses if you really want to, like hydrosphere for example.

I must be doing something wrong because this build still feels awful after spending ~20 div on it and playing through the atlas/watchstones with it. Attack speed is really low which makes trauma stacking a huge pain. Single target is really low which also makes flasks fall off constantly. Tanu Ahi almost never procs adrenaline and onslaught. Totems often get 1 shot by juiced rares or in a few seconds from aoe. The only foreseeable "fix" i can think of is to spend even more currency getting a rare sceptre, gg rings, and a bunch more armour to ramp trauma like 2-3x higher.
You're definitely doing something wrong, I leveled mine and as soon as I switched to Glacial Hammer at lv40 (Trauma at around lv 70), I breezed through the Acts and was doing Tier 16 maps at lv 75 before doing uber lab... lol lv 93 now and unlocking even more power (the totem passives up to panopticon are very important, the totem buffs really unlock a lot of power).
Scepter will be a pain to craft or buy, probably no uber before I get that..

replica frostbreath is a good temporary, so heist in general is probably pretty good / harbingers for ancient orbs helps a ton too since you'll want a heatshiver too
The chest craft is legit brutal, it does get what you need but be prepared for what it is going to cost if you're not accustomed to 8-20 div crafts.

It's just for bosses, they die really fast, it's literally just like the first second. While mapping everything is one-shot.

I think it'd do pretty well in delve tbh, to a point at least. Tanky + Freeze + Corpse removal sounds good, especially with ramping damage.

I think it should be fine without tattoos the only one I think will be noticeable will be +strike range. (will make sanctums ect harder, maybe use behead for strike range if needed?)

Quality now causes Supported Skills to deal 0-20% increased Damage with Hits against Enemies that are on Low Life, instead of Supported Skills having +0-0.2 metres to Melee Strike Range.

You can't use EO and PT at same time unfortunately.
Best and easiest way to craft is to spam essence of zeal on a redeemer karui until you get hatred effect, and then aisling for pen and finish by crafting %cold damage

Probably would be quite good, frost blades will need to be crit most likely in order to deal enough damage to bosses for heatshiver to work though.

fortify is from the tattoo (30 str notable) / avoid shock jewels - the previous video talks about shock more indepth

I started this and it's good. But the issue is that without crit you don't freeze on every bit. Hypothermia with the alt quality, trinity, herald of ice and frost bite get you to 100% in whatever combination you feel. And yeah going iron reflexes was always the play
You Can also have +30% chance to freeze with glacial hammer enchant , it's cheap on heatshiver
GH freezes every third hit 100% of the time (it also has built in 25% freeze + 20% on tree)

Doesnt really look better than boneshatter but its a good clickbait so i dont blame you much. Still its a bit dissapointing.
Overall it isnt bad for a melee skill but the opportunity cost of having to be in melee and swing away compared to its benefits really doesnt make for a good equation.
It's not really about damage (but damage seems higher to me tbh) but the fact that you get a shield and ED over boneshatter.
Also this league you get a bunch of +strike range which helps the melee part quite a bit, it actually feels quite nice for mapping.
Have you played this build? I've league started both builds, this is superior to Boneshatter. Better floor, better ceiling. Freeze everything. Better defences. Way cheaper to slap T16s. What exactly is disappointing and clickbait?
you can freeze everything, chill 30%, more defenses, 1 alch weapon for BiS for a long while so no need for expensive crafted 2h axe im pretty sure this is enough to justify it being better

With eternal damnation, brass dome doesn't synetgize at all, loreweave would be much better for maxres
Loreweave is really bad on jugg especially, ED/loreweave is a good combo but not for jugg.
But anyways Brass Dome isn't "bad" I just think a rare is better.
Build does good damage and is budget friendly to get going. My only issue with it was rolling maps, lots of mods are annoying.
that's a good point, I've been able to run mods like vuln, less armor, no leech with my gear level though (just need to be more careful)
less accuracy is also annoying if you dont have enough accuracy on gear to offset this because it can brick the precise technique keystone
