So you can sit after two rakaat and get up for last rakah like maghrib?

No, not like Maghrib. Rather after two raka'a you make tasleem (give salam to finish the salah) then get up as was mentioned and pray one unit. BarakAllahu Feek
@@greenlanemasjid JazaakAllahu Khair however at 2:20 it is said, 'read tashahud and get up to finish the last rakah', hence why I am a little confused. I know in the hanafi madhab this is practised. Hope this makes sense

He made a mistake in saying it's actually to either pray 3 by sitting in 3rd only
Or sit in second and say tasleem and finish two rakats then pray 3rd separately. I hope you got the point. ☺

I still don't understand witr, can I possibly email you? Do I just make intention that I'm praying 1 witr esha salah, allahuma akbar, then fatiha and tashahud in the same rakat?

“Whoever recites surah ikhlas ‘He is Allah, the One’ Allah, the Eternal Refuge...{Qul Huwo Allohu Ahad, Allohus Samad...} 10 times, Allah will build a palace for him in Paradise.” Musnad Ahmad
Also reciting the same surah is equivalent of 1/3 of Quran recitation

Thank you so much for this. This is my first Ramadan, and they pray Witr after Taraweeh, and I've never been quite sure what's going on in the third raka'ah of Witr. It turns out, I was missing the Qunoot.
you could say any dua it doesn’t have to be qunoot, but it is recomended

In short, you can pray whatever you wish between the Isha prayer and the Fajr prayer, as long as you pray an even number of rakaat followed by one prayer with one rakkat, which is called Witr prayer.
