Yes, absolutely superb, the perfect balance of concise on point information for this audience without any unnecessary fluff. He would make a great course trainer. Sub'd..
Glad I found this video. Something about how you explain stuff is so much better. No side information, just what you need. But yet still EVERYTHIng you need and straight to it. Good work!
Ive been in this for a couple years now and I still learn new things everyday... Thank you, noticed that my issue was not having the Channel 1 set to CRSF TX. I was scratching my head for a couple hours.
I’m watching these very helpful tutorial many times before i received my crossfire nano rx and tbs tango 2 and specially i never seen anything tutorials like these complete step and explain u every detail’s no fast forward like the other thinking newbie like me can get it right away ! Thanks man looking forward for more videos we do loved and appreciated this
Can’t thankyou enough man. I just setup my crossfire v2 module for my taranis qx7, I flashed the latest version of open tx and copied the SD card contents then followed your tutorial all good to go! And side note, (for anyone who can’t find enough info on how to do it, yes the taranis qx7 access) can easily be setup with crossfire. It took me 5 minutes. And the access radios don’t need inverter mod. Thanks again!!
Nice work mate . Im a total noob n dont know my ass from my rx . 1st video that made sense to me . I hope your doin well and your you tube channel goes right off . Looking forward to more . I like your style . Keep it simple and spot on facts thats educating people all over the world . Keeps ths hobby so much more accessible for people like me that have no idea and people looking to learn more , which eventually means getting out there and having fun sooner . Thanks Drainman . Im bloody glad I stumbled on to your channel 😁
Man, this is FINALLY the video I've been looking for to install my Nano. Well explained, excellent examples to show us not just tell us. Just the facts, I don't need to know the historic background and intricacies of a part like every other video seemed to do.
Wow, excitement!!! All stuff in one video, even howto Bind, ... and setup TBS CROSSFIRE Nano in FrSKY X9D , inclusive beta flight setup. Just AMAZING 😍😍😍
Your video was amazing , using different flight boards your explanations your wiring everything was awesome thank you so much you made my life so much easier tonight.
Hey brother thanks.. your videos were a blessing. Most assume all computer guys. Your videos made it possible for me to enjoy hobby I love. Sincere thanks. God bless
Great tutorial, I ordered (4) receivers and the Tbs Crossfire Micro V2. Switching (4) quads from the frsky R9 system over:) thanks for this info I’ll be making use of it shortly.
Every other source of information confuses me. Your videos usually have me unsolder, resolder, change betaflight/iNav settings, and BOOM! my stuff works
Drainman, what is the board you are using to clamp down your CRSF nano receiver? Did you print that yourself or did you buy that? Love the videos, will be installing my crsf nano for the first time after watching this video! Thank you for the amazing content!
Just subbed to your channel! Straight to the point... I really appreciated this video! Just cruised through the setup and all is good...you are tha man !or should I say DrainMan!
Did this and it worked, now for some weird reason it doesn't. haven't soldered anything, the rx and controller still connects between each other but in betaflight and real life, no props are reacting. ideass?
You just made my setting up my Crossfire a whole lot easier!! 😊 Thank you very, very much! Now, do I have to run the Crossfire Agent or is it optional? And what about setting up Smart Audio? Sorry to ask so much but you have a knack for explaining things that I can wrap my head around. 😉
Great detail thanks! OK I followed your instructions and all went well with everything working except smart audio. It's still on the same UART as before and the Nano receiver is on a different UART. When I enter the VTX settings in my goggles everything looks as it should but no changes are saved. What am I missing?
Awesome video!. Thanks. Im curious....Why are you called Drain man?. I was also wondering how many channels do you get with the crossfire? I needed more than 8 channels...
Thank you for the video! I have a Goku GM415T FC and I can’t figure out where to solder the RX to. Any tips for cases where there are no descriptions on the FC itself? Thank you!
Thanks for video, I'm new to crossfire but I have the micro tx v2 and nano receiver, I'm trying to get connected to mission planner, I'm using f405 wing flashed with inav 2.5.0 would I wire my receiver the same as you to make this happen? Thanks again
Can you do a video on wiring battery direct to this receiver. I use it on an rc plane with just servos and would like to know my battery voltage with telemetry
Mine was not binding . It overheated . The button came off . I had left the flight controller on sbus from the frsky xm plus rx . Do you think that caused it ir was it a firmware issue ? 5 other recievers on 5 other quads all worked before .
Great channel..👌i'v wired in my Crossfire nano to my old kiss FC QUAD and bound it to my Qx7,solid green..But i cant get any reciever/stick movement in the Kiss Gui..!and wont Arm off my switch like it did before... I was using an RX8 reciever before..Any advise would be most apprieciated Drainman,🙏
I have a question, does it make a difference if it says R3 T3 on the flight controller and not RX3 TX3? I have a t motor f4 flight controller and it only says R3 T3, I’m very new to this and don’t know if that matters.
Need some help Drain Man. I'm about givin on this Crossfire. Everything works but the moment I'm out about fifty feet out my Radio Master cries out low RF signal, a few more feet and I lose signal then goes into failsafe. Bought me three Nanos and its doing the same thing. Not the long range everyone else is getting. Did about everything down to even factory resetting. Only thing left haven't tried is changing the modules crossfire anttena to see if faulty but don't have one. Do you think it could be that? Keep up the good work.
1st things first, make sure your tx module is set to 250mW (or higher) and dynamic power is enabled. Also for the tx module, If in US, you need also to be on 915MHz - don't run the CE frequency or you may have these issues. Last is to make sure your antenna orientations are matched. If the antenna is horizontal on the quad, it needs to match on you TX (parallel to the ground). Also note if you mount an immortal t horizontally and the tips touch carbon fiber - you're effed; you gotta keep the tips off the carbon. If vertical on the quad, you also need the TX antenna to be vertical with the ground. Do these and it should be fine - I run a Micro TX v1 @ 250mW and I can get right at 4mi range on a 7" quad (single vertical immortal T). Good luck!
So I set up everything and it works awesome but.....I'm on 868hz and I'm in the US and when I select 915hz it makes me receiver turn red??? Any idea?? Do I have to re bind it????
if I have different colors for the wires. Let's say for instance I have green and orange. Can I name them like Green : TX Orange: RX So, therefore, TX on the nano pad ill solder it to the RX on the FC pad. The same goes for the RX. Because on the nano manual they name the pads as ch1 ,2,3,4
How similar would this be using the nano diversity with the naza lite fc? First timer sat with a pile of parts and very little confidence! Please help 🙏
Thank you very much for this useful sharing. Would you like to help me: i use tango 2 and craf nano rx. yesterday my rx antenna was released when I flew it, after that my rx continued to blink and ask for bind. I already bind and after unplugging the battery, the RX continues to blink again. Is my RX broken? Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
How to setup tbs nano rx on kiss fc v1 ?? Please help I already bought everything and now I couldn't find the tutorial video for kiss fc v1. That shows tbs nano setup for kiss fc v1 I want to use smart audio or anything that allows me to tune my pid via either OSD or my radio need help 🙏
Having an issue binding. Green light blinks and module is blinking green after hitting bond button. But it stays blinking and will not bind. I followed your video to the t and still nothing. Is the crossfire nano receiver bad ? Thanks man
Man I wish you were my Physics teacher. No BS , no overly complicated crap... just straight to the point.
Thanks a lot Buddy 👍🏻

So to clarify we need to purchase the crossfire system in order to utilize these on our kwads?
Thank you for the video! I have a Goku GM415T FC and I can’t figure out where to solder the RX to. Any tips for cases where there are no descriptions on the FC itself? Thank you!
Hello great job, I came across your channel and I have a question... What if it's a TBS 6ch diversity rx how would you wire it for SBUS.
100% excellent tutorial!
I'd like to see a video on soldering up one direct connect servo to the nano extra pads.
Thanks for video, I'm new to crossfire but I have the micro tx v2 and nano receiver, I'm trying to get connected to mission planner, I'm using f405 wing flashed with inav 2.5.0 would I wire my receiver the same as you to make this happen? Thanks again
Your video really helped me. Thank you!
Where do I find that vice for holding boards????
I got mine from Amazon
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077SBC232/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
how can i know which color is which , can you share the manual of tbs nano to see which color of the wire is on the appropriate pad
Can you do a video on wiring battery direct to this receiver. I use it on an rc plane with just servos and would like to know my battery voltage with telemetry
Nice. What about OSD in BF. Do you need to select anything else in the ports tab to actuate OSD or will it just work now?
Perfect info 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video. Thank you
Mine was not binding . It overheated . The button came off .
I had left the flight controller on sbus from the frsky xm plus rx .
Do you think that caused it ir was it a firmware issue ?
5 other recievers on 5 other quads all worked before .
Thanks for this!
When powering the flight controller with the alligator clips... where did you get the power from??

What temp are you working with when using tiny pads and wires?
Super, man.Thanks!
Great channel..👌i'v wired in my Crossfire nano to my old kiss FC QUAD and bound it to my Qx7,solid green..But i cant get any reciever/stick movement in the Kiss Gui..!and wont Arm off my switch like it did before... Sorted..all i needed was kiss lua scripts...😉
Didn’t know people were still doing things real quick.
I have a taranis x lite 9 can i do this same installation?and if i buy a betafpv with crossfire controller can i just bind and fly?
THANKS DRAINMAN
I have a question, does it make a difference if it says R3 T3 on the flight controller and not RX3 TX3? I have a t motor f4 flight controller and it only says R3 T3, I’m very new to this and don’t know if that matters.
someone told me that the receiver should be tx1 and rx1 because they are more responsive. is that true? please answer

Awesome 😎 thanks 😊
another great one!!! keep em comin
I'm not getting RSSI on the next video ... are we supposed to connect more than the 4 wires?
So I set up everything and it works awesome but.....I'm on 868hz and I'm in the US and when I select 915hz it makes me receiver turn red??? Any idea?? Do I have to re bind it????
question, I purchased the nano rx. Do I need the module for the taranis?
Yep
Thank you for the good content! where can we get the pcb holder?
Is possible install a servo motor on this receiver ?
if I have different colors for the wires. Let's say for instance I have green and orange.
Can I name them like
Green : TX
Orange: RX
So, therefore, TX on the nano pad ill solder it to the RX on the FC pad.
The same goes for the RX.
Because on the nano manual they name the pads as ch1 ,2,3,4
How similar would this be using the nano diversity with the naza lite fc? First timer sat with a pile of parts and very little confidence!

Thank you very much for this useful sharing. Would you like to help me: i use tango 2 and craf nano rx. yesterday my rx antenna was released when I flew it, after that my rx continued to blink and ask for bind. Can I get the exact same from Banggood?
unfortunately banggood does not carry this receiver :-(
How to setup tbs nano rx on kiss fc v1 ??
Please help I already bought everything and now I couldn't find the tutorial video for kiss fc v1. That shows tbs nano setup for kiss fc v1
I want to use smart audio or anything that allows me to tune my pid via either OSD or my radio need help 🙏
Where you have the white wire on the nano is the Rx pad
Having an issue binding. Green light blinks and module is blinking green after hitting bond button. But it stays blinking and will not bind. I followed your video to the t and still nothing. Is the crossfire nano receiver bad ? Thanks man
