Cheers Khan. I have the T Sport and have code P1346. But NO engine light? The car would intermittently rough idle when warm and at one point it lost power with rough running while driving. So I changed the solenoid, and cleaned the little oil filter. Ive done a few test drives of a couple miles including pushing the car hard and theres been no problems. BUT the code wont clear. Any thoughts? Did your code clear? was your engine light on?
Brilliant video. I've been waiting for this one. My Yaris 2003 VVTI also has been illuminating the engine light. P1346. I changed the sensor (also known as the VVT-i or Oil Control Valve) but it still comes back on after a few miles. The garage evem changed the timing chain. Would bad timing cause P1346? The car otherwise runs perfectly. I've honestly been fighting this code for 2 years now
@@simbarashemakoni2020 Sadly not. Still keeps coming back after a few miles of resetting. Though I'm starting to suspect it could be either electrical related, maybe a bad ground?, or the VVT gear. It shouldn't be timing as my chain was replaced, unless the garage didn't do it properly. I'll keep digging
@@crisvoi haha if you ever find out what it is I'll be happy to hear. I'll work with you to figure out what it is if you want? I need to change my rocker gasket as oil has started seeping out of the front of the block. Looks like the gasket maker paste the garage used has dried up and its allowed oil out. I can check timing when I get the cover off and confirm that the timing is fine. If not, that'll be the issue

isn't that the the toyota OCV( oil control valve) or VTI sensor?
Hi great vid. which diagnostic tool did you use? also can I have a link to the sensor please?
I used topdon Phoenix Plus Vehicle Diagnostic System.
Is that the wright name of the parts is that vvti pump
Yes it is the right name as I mentioned in the description.
I don't think it is, seems like the OCV to me or VTI sensor
