    I just got the ATVB95LED one, instead of 6x9s it has 8 inch round speakers but it rocks. I have it mounted on the front of my Outlander 1000r with a yoshimura and can hear it plain as day even at higher speeds

      It can definitely keep up with the exhausts that are out there! Which says a lot for it...the Yoshi is a loud one too! Makes for a great camp sound system too...though the only thing that would be nice would be the ability to plug it into an outlet. Make it multi-functional for its usage!

    Seems like a dumb question but you just hooked yours to the positive and negative of the battery right? I think I had a battery that was on its way out but I just want to double check that I wasn't supposed to hook up to a fuse first. Thanks a lot.

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz  5 років тому +1

      No such thing as a dumb question....only a dump response my friend! Honestly I never actually "hard-wired" mine to the battery. I always just used the 12v adapter plug. As I was constantly taking it off or on for rides depending on the conditions. Batteries definitely have a short lifespan depending on the machine/manufacturer. If it is a Polaris machine then you are looking at 2 years tops. I actually just replaced my battery after 2+ years of usage. Heavily abused, drained, many connections, etc...she lived a good life. lol

  • @lindseyhutchins2628
    @lindseyhutchins2628 3 роки тому

    Did you leave it plugged into the 12v or did you hard wire to the battery?? Trying to figure out how to put mine on my high lifter

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz  3 роки тому +1

      I left it plugged into the 12v. Only because there were some rides I would want to take it off for, it really depended on the ride I was doing, but if I were to keep it on long-term, then I would have hard wired it in. I don't run it anymore though, at least not on the machine, as with the monetization for UA-cam, I wear ear buds for music, and add "free" music into the videos. Still a great system, just depends on the rider, and the riding situation. For those of us that do UA-cam, we get penalized for music playing in the background, which is why I don't run the unit anymore. Thanks for stopping in and for dropping a comment! Support is appreciated!

    So is the thing fully water proof?? Like can I take it out mudding and not have to worry?

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz  5 років тому

      Not fully waterproof...as we took it out in the boat and it fell in the water. Though as far as mudding....as long as it's mostly mud and your're not dragging it through water then you should be good. It is waterproof to an extent. I still have them just had to replace the tweeters. Though I don't do much with them anymore as I have switched to ear buds instead being UA-cam takes away from my videos if I have music playing....which is just dumb to be because in a sense playing music from an artist is really promoting the artist.

      In the process of the same thing. First thing I attached was add insulation. As well as 1/2 pine board. Now I’m working on the electrical part of it but haven’t started. Also need to add a vent to it! As time goes on I will probably add a screen door as well and maybe a side window. The light comes with it factory. Decent light as well! I don't right with it anymore. Mostly because of UA-cam monetizing issues. However she still remains a solid camp speaker! If you are looking for quality, price, and volume! It is a solid setup. I do miss having it's around while riding but have since switched to bluetooth ear buds for riding.

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz  3 роки тому

      Best bet is the rear. When I was still using the unit I switched the the rear and 24'' zip ties from lowes. I don't use them anymore due to monetizing issues. As far as front mount, I think you would still be best in the rear, though I haven't done any placement tests with my 1000 S because I now only use them for camp speakers. @NorthCountryBoyz  3 роки тому

      It still works. It is now my camp speaker more than anything. Now that I am a monetized channel I do not run them on my machine anymore. I will say that speaker technology has advanced since this video, there are much greater systems out there, though you do pay a bit more for them. One system I am looking at for my new build, it's much smaller, and I can mount to my Rad Kit. I will only use it for when we stop for a water break though or back at camp. The size of the Boss system just makes it hard to do what I tend to do at times. Still a solid system when buying on a budget though!

      Sure can! I kept it up front for a while but then started running it in the back as I did the rad kit and snorkels on my bike. I just used the mounts on the front rack to zip tie it in place. Worked well as I could still access my storage. Great sound too from the front.

      I would think so! Just not sure how to properly mount it on a Jet Ski. Would really depend on the JetSki at that point. Though I am not sure I would want to mount one on a Jet Ski. It is not fully waterproof and one slight rollover could kill it. At that point I would look into something that is fully waterproof!

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz  4 роки тому

      I would go with a "sound bar" if anything. I mean "weatherproof" this system will treat you well as far as sound quality, durability, and pricing. Though, if you are looking to soak it wet...I don't recommend. I have done that a few times, a few times the system held up to the abuse, though she doesn't like too much drenching. 🙄

      I can't say that I ran into the same issue. I am not sure what kind of riding your buddy did, though mine lasted through some decent abuse before I took it off, as I don't run live audio in videos anymore due to the monetization of videos.

      There is a button on the controller for the light. No lights inside the speakers or anything if that is what you are asking. I haven't had mine on my machine in a hot minute. The riding I have been doing it was just getting in my way more often than not. That and UA-cam kept demonetizing my videos for having music playing...so I just wear my ear buds now. @NorthCountryBoyz  3 роки тому

      I found it definitely matters where they are mounted for "loudness". I appreciated their quality when I still ran them, though I do not run speakers anymore while riding, mostly because I am monetized and music results in being demonetized. I keep them around though as a camp speaker...though speaker technology has come a long way since I made this. There are some seriously sick sound bars out there in which make this look like it's nothing...however, you do pay a bit more for them.

    • @NorthCountryBoyz

      It is possible if you took it deep. It can withstand quite a bit but I think if you plan to really have it around water it may require some gasket seal in certain places to really waterproof it. They say it is "water resistant" but I have taken mine into some pretty wet places and it survived.

    Yeah well that bs 800 watt rating is all i need to see to know its junk. Almost all atv premade speaker systems are complete junk. Especially the bazooka party bar. If you want some loud ass music you need to buy a large water proof box and build a boom box yourself like i did. I did spend about $700 building mine but its louder than most sxs systems haha no joke its loud as fuck.

    • @NorthCountryBoyz
      @NorthCountryBoyz  4 роки тому +1

      I got it for FREE...so I wasn't complaining. lol. I did look into building my own but for the style of riding I often do here. It just wan't the right fit. I actually don't even ride with it on the machine anymore...I went to bluetooth ear buds. 1. Music in the videos takes away from the monetization and the monetization funds provides funds to the foundation I am creating. 2. I often am riding fast and anytime I would hit something for a jump my back was banging right into the friggers...one ride of being black and blue I was done with them! HAHAHA. 3. I need access to my back rack if I am going into anything deep for foot placement. If I do anything for a sound on this machine or my new Scrambler I will do a soundbar off the radiator relocate. I don't need anything crazy loud but having music while riding is nice. The ear buds work great because my head isn't throbbing from listening to my exhaust all day but they tend to result in me not speaking loud enough or speaking too loud or I can't hear anything anyone is saying to me when they try to talk to me. Basically it's a lose/lose situation for me and I just save music for back at camp or I break out my JBL speakers when we stop for a "water" break. lol
