well, tbf the audience is probably still checking around to see if it's ok to laugh. we're a little too liberal to be seen laughing at something that has a whiff of cancel worthy, like the audience at the Will Smith Slap laughing at the Jada Pinkett joke. You can tell if someone is liberal, we're the ones clutching our pearls

Joking about race feels off for a lot of people when we’re dealing with like, actual white nationalism in America. But yeah it was a good bit. Brennan is always good.

IMHO, the two greatest “genius behind the genius” duos in comedy are Paul Mooney/Richard Pryor and Neal Brennan/Dave Chappelle. Neal shows here why he & Paul both deserve every accolade imaginable. Brilliant minds.

Bits like this are awkward because they’re presented as a natural conversation, but it’s all pre-scripted and rehearsed. Even Seth’s questions and laughs.
Yes. You nailed it. I've noticed sometimes comedians do a bit from one of their shows as the interview, but this time it was super awkward. If he was just standing up talking into a mic, this would be exponentially funnier. And I love Neal, but this just wasn't the right medium for him.

Figure skating has gotten even darker in the last years: athletes are only able to do 4-fold jumps during a few years while having a body type inside a pretty tight bracket - after that, they are done.

Neal is such an underrated comedian. I think he really had more to do with the success Chappelle’s Show than people think. Also loved his cameo in the Chappelle’s Show slo-motion skit in the club. 😂🕺🏽

Why do figure skaters wear so much makeup during a performance? Because the white ice and lights make the skaters' faces washed out. Part of the scores are based on expression and interpretation of the theme of the music. Adding makeup makes the face more visible and enhances the expression.
