    Tocino recipe:
1 kilo of pork meat slice thinly
    1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of black pepper powder
    1/2 tsp of garlic powder
    1/4 cup of brown sugar
    1/4 cup of soy sauce
    1/2 cup of pineapple juice
1/4 cup of tomato or banana catsup
Mix all the ingredients. Mix it thoroughly then marinate it overnight by putting it in the fridge.
Tomorrow you can fried it with any cooking oil depending on your preferences.
Hope this can help. All of these ingredients that I've been telling you are all naturals. Thank you.

Well, I usually just buy the cdo young pork tocino and boil it with less water until it evaporates and add little oil to fry. Then when you remove the tocino. Don't wash the pan, use it instead to make fried rice. Use low to medium heat to prevent the sugar from burning.

Then boil the meat with marinade until meat is soft and cooked.when the water has evaporated put a little oil and fry the meat for 2-3minutes.dont let the meat burn

With Lumpia, Filipinos usually make or mix their own pork filling with other ingredients and just buy the wrapper, because ready made lupias have very little filling.
But with Tocino, Filipinos usually just buy the ready made Pork Tocino from the grocery, like the CDO Young Pork Tocino, instead of making the tocino from scratch on their own.
Just fill the pan with enough water to soften the meat more then just wait until all the water dries up. Put oil when the water dries up to finish cooking. Cook it like bacon, but no need to toast it.
However Andrey, if you want to make your own tocino so you can use the Mama Sita marinate that other subscribers gave, then in the market buy the kasim part of the pig. Cut that meat thinly and marinate over night with the Mama Sita for tocino. Just follow the instructions at the back.

for a packaged frozen tocino, boil the pork from the package with a little water for 5 mins just to wash away the preservatives (the red color) then put away the water, put some oil and fry the pork in low heat so as not to burn it. It easily burns because of the sugar in it. Mix it while in the pan so it will not stick to the pan

Most Filipino dishes are eaten with dippings and/or condiments to enhance the flavor. Some of the dippings/condiments we use are:
Soy sauce with kalamansi (for foods like Grilled Stuffed Bangus, Inihaw na Liempo)
Patis with kalamansi (for foods like fried tinapa, Arroz Caldo)
Patis (for foods like Sinigang. Also neutralizes the sour taste of Sinigang)
Spicy suka (vinegar) (for foods like chicharon, Bola-bola)
Sliced salted tomatoes (for foods like fried fish)
Spicy bagoong isda (for foods like Paksiw)
Ginisang bagoong alamang (for foods like Kare-Kare)
Banana ketchup (for fried foods, hamburgers, steaks)
These dippings/condiments level up the dishes. The dishes are less flavorful without them. 🙂😋🥰

To cook the tocino, if it is ready made, boil it first with a cup of water and remove the scum when boiling. wait until it turns dry and add the oil. cook it in a medium heat to avoid getting burnt. If you use the tocino mix, just mix the powder evenly over a thinly sliced meat and let it stand for an hour or more. When cooking, place the meat in a frying pan and pour just enough water to cover the meat. Cook over medium heat until the fat is rendered and fry in its own fat or add a little oil

Hi, Andrei. You may want to find alternative ways to keep your family cool during the summer months in the Philippines. Maybe a long-term lodging with air-con or something similar. It is unbearable heat in the summertime starting in March even with the fans on and worst, if there are brownouts. Extreme heat is not suitable for the elderly like Mama Olga as well as the kids; summer is no joke there. By the way, Mama Olga looks great in her new swimsuit. Don’t stress her out also to cook something new everyday. She takes care of everyone’s needs. Give her a break from chores or cooking when you see that she is overwhelmed like no electricity or she is feeling tired or stressed out. Negative comments by viewers also don’t help. Maybe try your best not to show step-by-step cooking; just the finished product. Asking advice before cooking is better, then let her cook without filming. Keep her blood pressure and stress levels low. Just a piece of advice.

In our family, usually buy the CDO Fatless Pork Tocino. After opening from the packet, we place it on a frying pan, add water to let it simmer, and before the water dries, we add a small amount of cooking oil. Keep stirring because if you leave it for long, it will burn and turn black because of the sugar. You just need the tocino pack, water and oil. Happy cooking.

Thin slices of pork. Since you already have the tocini mix, marinade the pork into it overnight. Or at least 30mins-1hr.
To cook, put it in all in a pan, with water, small amount just to reach half of the pork. Wait for it to boil until all the water evaporated. Mix occasionally. Once all water is gone, add oil/butter to fry.
Once they're cooked. You can use the pan still with the remaining oil/butter and flavors from the tocino, use it for fried rice! 😉

ANDREI: tocino is originally from PAMPANGA.
    There are so many recipes.
If You Have that sachet of tocino by Mama Sita. Use this one equivalent to 1 Kilo of pork belly. Marínate 1 kilo of Pork belly with mama sita and then use 1 cup of pineapple juice and 1 cup of chinese rice wine or even local rum. Mix all together and marínate the meat overnight to taste much better.
Note: if you use 2 kilos of pork belly, use 2 sachets of Mama Sita Mix tocino. 1 cup of pineapple juice and 1 cup of rum or any Chinese cooking wine. Marínate the meat with all these ingredients for 4 hours or overnight to taste better.

Wow am happy that mama olga has now new bathing suit hope u will get kore so u can enjoy more your swims in the ppol and in the oceans. About the pork tocino....there are so many vaieties. There are sweet there are salty and there sweet and spciy and so much more. But the basic one is what u have mentioned. To achieve nice tocino depends on how much marination time u give.

  • @RomMarSis
    @RomMarSis 8 днів тому +1

Well, you can buy ready made tocino (Pampangas Best, CDO or from a local market ) . Put a little bit of water and boil it when the water evaporates add a little oil then turn the stove to low heat and turn the meat over from time to time until it caramelize. Then serve. But if you want to make your own get a good meat you can ask the meat shop to give you a meat that is suitable for tocino you can also ask them to slice it to proper thickness then use the tocino mix you have and marinate it for a day or two. Then do the same procedure for cooking. 😉 (You can also make your own marinate if you don't want to use the ready made mix). You can also make beef or pork tapa, marinate it in soy sauce, calamansi garlic, pepper, salt, sugar if you want then in a sealed container put it inside the refrigerator for two or more days. Then fry. :-)

  • @ZushiRolls_
    @ZushiRolls_ 8 днів тому

That you bought you just need to marinade it with it.
Basic homemade tocino we buy pineapple juice, star anisse, black pepper, anisado wine, sugar and may add a drop of pink food coloring. Mix it all together and boil the mixture on its first boil you set it aside to cool down. Once cooled add the pork or chicken meat, set it aside on the fridge 24hrs or longer it would taste like a sweetened ham.
When cooking it boiled it in a little water to soften the meat, as soon as water seeps down add little oil to fry.

I saw that you have Mama Sita's Tocino marinade. Just follow the instructions at the back. Just make sure that when you fry the tocino, you fry it like the bacon. Do not pile up the meat all at once. Like the bacon, each meat must be laid flat on the pan with oil. Turn the meat over to the other side to ensure equal frying. The redness of the meat is just from food coloring. Tocino is naturally sticky when cooked because of the sugar ingredient. It is good to eat it for breakfast with fried rice and egg benedict or scrambled egg.

For best results, whenever you use a marinade (whether for barbecue, tocino, inasal etc).... it's best to marinade at least OVERNIGHT so all the flavors will seep into the meat. Marinading it for just a few hours will do, but it would not be as tasty as when you do it overnight.

such a lovely place! Your nephews look like they’re grown up a lot in the Philippines! and they all got beautiful tan color now! what a relaxing place!! really nice!!! By the way, have you gone or are you going to take them to BGC in Manila? Take them there too before they live. Are you staying back here in Philippines while your family will go back home soon next year? Would be nice if you stay and they can always go back anytime because you’re here.

The one you have is a marinatung mix where you marinade any meat preferrably pork overnight then fry it. Filipinos normally buy the ready made tocino meat which they just store in the freezer and fry when needed
