Mizithra is mostly served with Mac n cheese or generally pasta here in Greece...
Only the dried version. The fresh version is much more common and looks a lot like anthotiro and other mild white cheeses.

As a Harmon's employee, it makes me happy that you went to our cheese section. We have the largest selection of cheese that I'm aware of, and I just want to go try them all.
Yes! idk why but YES! I think it would be kinda cool, sticking on the cheesy theme, to see what types of cheeses you can inoculate with edible mold (P. roqueforti) which is the same stuff in blue cheese. From soft cheeses like marscarpone and camembert all the way to hard cheeses like asiago and parmesan
I was expecting a grilled cheese sandwich & nachos of EACH one, not all mixed. Neat anyway, though.
Anyone watching this in central PA, do yourself a favor and visit the Clock Tower Cheese Shoppe. Not only are there tons of incredible cheeses, but the proprietor has all kinds of delightful stories to tell about each one, and listening to him tell them is half the fun of the trip. (Remember to hold out your hand when he's carving up samples!)
I think the tkor team just learned the blue cheese is definitely an acquired taste.
I know it might not be very easy to accomplish, but what about a bunch of different ground up meats together?? Like ground beef, lamb, sausage, turkey, you know a medley of ground meats together! ❤️❤️❤️

Satori artisan cheeses!!! They make the best cheeses in Antigo, WI. The Antigo cheese plant was owned by Kraft for many years. In 1984 or 1985, (my fifth grade year of Elementary school) a man from Kraft came to talk about our hometown made cheese. He told us that Top end Chefs of France specifically asked for Antigo, Wi made cheese. Something in the local milk makes the difference. Kraft sold the plant to the employees when they pulled out. They still made the grade but their label was unknown so they couldn't financially make it. It was sold to Satori. Satori had plans of closing the plant and make the recipes in the plant in southern WI but the milk changes flavor when hauled past a certain distance. The Antigo plant remains open. BellaVitano™ Merlot, Raspberry Ale, Asiago, Peppermint, Espresso, Black Pepper and SO many more!

Do the same with different flavours of crisps, like blend them up and taste test, or use it as a crumb coat when deep frying chicken, or use it in a candle cos of all the oils etc...

Mizithra and browned butter on pasta is divine. They serve it as the house specialty at the Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Indianapolis.
A 31 layer lasagna (or close to it) where each layer is a different cheese :}

Mizithra is the primary cheese used at "The Old Spaghetti Factory."
If you have never eaten there, go... I recommend getting the Managers Favorite, which is mixing two sauces together... and with that get half meat sauce and half mizithra w/browned butter.

Dependent variable: How it tastes
Controlled variable: The bread.
Mizrahi is amazing cut with romano and sprinkled on pasta with browned butter. Simple but amazing

As a frenchie, the mimolette doesn't come France, it usually comes from Holland or Belgium.... Really nice accent, nath, by the way! ^^
But The Taste Test is just wonderfull. Only USA adapted/adopded recipes and they are picky. We have hundreds of cheese (real cheese ^^ Sorry! ^^) sorts to taste. You're both welcome! ^^

Did Nate really NOT say "So here's the basic idea..." it feels wrong....
I think a great experiment to follow from this, is, how many of those cheeses were unneeded? like how many cheeses and what varieties of cheeses would be required to accomplish the same flavor? Because I do feel like not all 31 cheeses really contributed to the overall flavor very well. So it would be need to really narrow down what kinds of cheese make for the best combination, that way it can be replicated more easily than just guess work with 31 different and potentially expensive cheeses.

The ones I can imagine would be ok are
1) Salad dressing
2) BBQ Sauces
3) Fruit Juices (going to predict this tastes like fruit punch if cherry is involved)
4) Coffee
5) Tea

Most cheeses I have tried lend themselves well to melting. A little overripe? Melt. A little soft? Melt. Sweaty? Melt. Creamy? Melt. Aged? Melt. Mild? Melt. Pungent? MELT.

That Kasseri is not meant to be eaten straight like that. Cut it into a slice, throw it on a pan and flambé is with some brandy (preferably Greek brandy) and light the brandy on fire. The dish is called Saganaki. Definitely try it someday if u can.

You can try frying cheese. When you place cheddar on a hot nonstick pan, with a small amount of butter for lubrication, it becomes crispy and tastes like cheese its, but way better. If you do it with real american cheese it melts and become a too-thick sauce. I wanna know what other cheeses would be like fried.
