What seems most skeptic is whether we could make an engine capable to power so much demands of AMCA. At least it should be integrated in Mk 2 fighters.

Why whenever we talk about AMCA we end up showing F22 Raptor of USAF. F22 was made in 1990s and entered production in 2000s.

As an Indian I am proud of DRDO,ADA,HAL etc. but at the same time I wish AMCA can be delivered on time and not like other items which took unnecessary long time to complete. So now our labs, organisations and institutions and various departments are developing lot of systems in India and have decently become a nation where we are developing lot of cutting edge technology be it in space, defence, IT, cyber. So we should have faith in our engineers and scientists to be able to develop few more things like fighter engine and advance radars for our defence forces.

If the fact that it can "supercruise" at Mach 1.8 is true, it is incredible! Cz, with afterburners, it will reach at least Mach 2.3 - 2.5. But only if this can be done successfully!

@kartikey kasniya very rarely, only when you're fleeing! But missiles are faster than u, how long would u flee? And again, max speed means afterburner, and that will suck off ur fuel tank within minutes!
@kartikey kasniya what you're talking abt is acceleration, Ig! For those situations, u need to accelerate fast, thus, you'll need full afterburner, but u never sustain that speed. Those are typically very short durations of accelerated flight, and anything around M1.8 will do. IRL, even in combat scenarios, pilots rarely cross mach 2.
@kartikey kasniya what I meant is, beyond a limit, like mach 1.8 or 2 or so, it's not needed
A very detailed explanation.
India does have it's own data link, and SDRs will be integrated on every fighter jet and every ship, irrespective of their origin. And those will operate in the frequency range specific to our own data link. What really creates the problem is jamming pods/other EW systems which, if from different origins, may create issue in integration.

AMCA mk2 is 6 genration aircrraft
The only fighter jet I am excited about is AMCA . I am not intrested in Tejas MK2 which should have been manufactured by 2020

Best part of this project is the technology we will get in R&D . It will boost capability of TEDBF and Tejas mk2 making them perfect 4.5th gen fighters along with some 5th gen features . But all HAL needs is funding , I hope government and private sector shows enough interest .

AMCA is India's pride. By the time it releases, only countries like USA and Russia will have sixth generation fighter. Even China's fifth generation fighter is questionable, let alone sixth. We aren't that behind in this fighter jet development race.
Next please make a video on Russia's new Checkmate. What Russia is promising with the new aircraft and considering the price of it, I find it too good to be true.

If maneuvers are not main feature then how it can avoid missiles or can do dogfight?
AMAC - 2 is interesting concept. You missed a crucial key role plus component that is a MUST for these jets.
1) Key Role: Maximum Ceiling Height from earth into the Horizon
Above the horizon? Under the Horizon or on the height of Horizon.
Suggestion: in modern warfare, until and unless a jet fighter cannot go above horizon? Will be totally useless. Modern missiles travel above horizon. In order to shot it down before it enters the earth atmosphere the jet fighter should be able to fly above horizon.
2) Very crucial to have to a target designating POD. Without this key component Fighter jets are flying coffin. Moreover these PODS MUST A MUST have to target passing capabilities between other flying fighter along with Allies Fighter Jets. Target Passing: These fighters travel extremely fast and the ground target might a traveling in the fast moving vehicle on the ground. In order to kill this target, the POD should be asses, designate and eliminate. If vehicle moving fast this may compromise the jets capability since they both are moving. In this case the target can be passed on to as many as jets flying around to neutralize the target.
In worst case scenario someone might be using handheld missile system shooting at your troops. The TARGETING POD be able to neutralize hidden or partially hidden hostile entities.
See if you may want to answer these questions in next phase.
